Who Will We Choose

She walked alone in the coolness of night; Just her and a small breath of wind.

She follows a man; Who promised her love.

But she feels empty inside; She doesn't love this man, this person, this guide.

Only He is there; Darkness personified.

"You cannot break free, from the things of your past;

You cannot break free, you shall not last.

You have chosen me, now you must pay.

I have wooed you, I have won this day."

The girl cries out, but no one can hear

She cries out, But no one is near.

Light bursts forth, Piercing the darkness.

The Son has come, His glory revealed.

"I have heard your call, I'm here to help;

I rebuke you Satan! Get far from here!

How dare you hurt my child; The one that I hold dear.

It's safe, my child, there is nothing to fear.

The enemy is gone; Now I am here.

Will you come with me? Will you make a new start?

Can I show you my love? Will you let me heal your broken heart?"

The girl is ashamed; She'd courted the enemy.

"How can you love me after what I did?

I cheated you, said I did not care.

How can you call me child, your daughter, your heir?"

The Son smiled, "You chose me.

The Enemy courted you, he broke your heart.

He tried to woo you, right from the start.

But you saw through his ruse, you saw through his lies.

You chose me, now you will be my Bride.

I will heal your heart, I will make you new.

I will heal those wounds, Let me love you."

We are courted every day by God and the Enemy.

We must make a choice. Which one will we choose?

Will you choose the one who will destroy you? Or will you let God heal you and love you?
