Double update!!!!

Who's the best?

I AM!!!

Two weeks later...

Jax's odd visit dwelled in the back of my mind, but my curiosity and confusion was soon replaced with excitement.

Mel's coming today.

....I don't know how she managed to buy a house this fast.

Lydia and I were standing outside a two story light brown house. Three bathrooms, four bedrooms, open floor plan. It has a nice garden and it's in a nice neighborhood.

This was my new home.

A black Audi Q5 pulled up into the driveway.

A woman with short brown ombre hair and brown eyes stepped out. She was wearing a black and white stripped flowy top and skinny jeans with white flats.

She headed towards us with a smile on her face.

"Hi!" she greeted Lydia.

"Hello, I'm Captain Aferman of the BPD," Lydia answered.

"Nice to meet you," Mel said. Her eyes shifted to me.

"Hey," she whispered softly.

"Hi," I replied, suddenly shy.

She pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so glad to finally meet you!"

I smiled back at her just as brightly. "So am I."

"I'll leave you to it. Call me if you need anything," Lydia announced, waving goodbye.

"Thank you!" Mel called.

She ushered me inside after unlocking the door.

The floors were hard wood, and the walls were white. The entire place was empty.

"The movers are coming in soon with all my furniture," Mel explained. "But you don't have any of your own...?"

I nodded sheepishly.

The bed I slept in before was old, bloodstained, and ready to break, just like everything else.

"Not to worry! Onwards, to IKEA!" she cheered, leading me back through the door.

She was kinda weird.

I liked it.

-☺☺☺-

We came back with a crap load of stuff.

We shopped for FIVE HOURS. That's a lot.

Although part of the time, we were just lying around in the rooms they made to display the furniture.

We ended up buying me a white queen-sized bed, a small white bedside table, a large white dresser, a black, furry bean bag chair, a soft black rug, a white desk, and a black swivel chair.

We also picked up some white, black and teal paint and golden wall stickers.

My rooms going to be black, white, and gold, and Mel's making hers teal and black.

"Uh, Mel?"

"Yeah, hon?"

"I never actually saw my room."

Her eyes widened. "Are we dumb or what?"

We climbed upstairs. There were four doors.

Mel's room is all the way to the right. Mine is on the left. The door closest to me is a guest room and the other one is a bathroom.
