After quite a long time, the boys had finally reached shore. After parking the boat and such, the boys decided to go to the local diner and get some food to eat. "Hey, uh, we don't have any cash on us." Yoongi said, stuffing his hands in his pockets to find just a penny. Namjoon smiled, his dimples showing so effortlessly on his delicate skin; it somehow looked shiny—glimmering as the sunlight beamed against it. Yoongi couldn't help but look at the pink-haired boy's skin. Namjoon smiled but Yoongi didn't catch it; he was still staring. "H-Hyung?" Jungkook piped up, tapping the older's shoulder. Yoongi was little startled, jumping slightly. His ears turned pink and he mumbled, "Sorry."
Taehyung rolled his eyes and started to go ahead of everyone, towards the diner. "Taehyung-ah wait!" Namjoon shouted, running after the brown-haired boy who had also been running. Jungkook chuckled a bit and slipped his fingers into Yoongi's palm. This also caught Yoongi by surprise, causing the older's cheeks to turn a shade of pastel pink as his ears were bright red now. "Yah, J-Jungkook don't do that without any warning or something..."
The younger smiled and brought his face extremely close to Yoongi's face—as if he wanted to kiss him or something. "J-Jungkook!!" Yoongi shouted as he pulled away from the younger's face. Yoongi had turned into a pink mess. Jungkook giggled as Yoongi lightly punched the side of his stomach. "We should catch up to Namjoon and Taehyung." Yoongi said, still pouting. This time he held Jungkook's hand first, leading to the younger boy smiling. The two ran off to catch up to the other two love-birds; Calico following right behind them.
Finally arriving at the diner, Taehyung swung open the door and grabbed a booth to sit at. Namjoon shortly joined after, as well as Yoongi and Jungkook. A waiter came by and handed out the menus—asking the boys if they would like some water. Namjoon, being fluent in English, requested for four waters. He turned to the others to ask what they wanted to eat. Jungkook scanned his menu; seeing the word, "Lamb," he immediately turned to Yoongi and smiled at him. Yoongi hummed in agreement.
"We'll get... two lamb burger." Yoongi said to the waiter, surprisingly in English, though it was a bit broken but the waiter still understood. Namjoon was quite amazed and even gave a dimple-filled smile. Taehyung ordered a regular hamburger and Namjoon ordered some nachos. The waiter jotted down the orders, gathered the menus, and walked back behind the counter, into the kitchen area. "Did you guys see any mermen of some sort? Like, one with bright orange hair and green tail?" Namjoon asked, using hand gestures to emphasize the question a bit more visually. "Ah. You mean...Jimin...?" Jungkook replied hesitantly. "Jimin..." Taehyung mumbled, resting his head of Namjoon's shoulder. "I met a merman named Jimin. He tried killing me but he also ended up leading me-"
Calico jumped onto Yoongi's lap from underneath the table, startling the poor, mint-haired boy. Jungkook decided to just end it there. He feels a bit suspicious—not of the two boys in front of him but he felt skeptical about the cat.
Taehyung examined Calico, squinting his eyes. He whispered something inaudible to Jungkook and Yoongi but only Namjoon seemed to get the message. Their demeanor seemed worried; skeptical. "Where did you find that cat?" Taehyung asked. "The abandoned island that we left." Taehyung nodded; but he got a bad feeling—something seemed a bit off about the cat.
The waiter finally came to their table with the ordered food. Thanking the waiter, the boys ate their meal in silence. After, they left to go to an apartment where Namjoon and Taehyung stayed at. "This is our home. A little small but we manage." Namjoon said as he opened the front door. Stepping into the apartment, Yoongi places Calico on the ground. The cat looks around before running into the living room to curl up in a ball in the corner. Taehyung lead the boys into the living room and gestured for them to take a seat. "So, you guys met this Jimin guy?" Namjoon asked, folding his hands together. Jungkook nodded.
"Did he try and kill you?"
"Y-Yes."Taehyung leaned back against the couch and sighed. He looked at Namjoon and sang a low yet beautiful melody. Jungkook and Yoongi were beyond bewildered. Namjoon just nodded his head. "So actually. Jimin is one of our acquaintances. You see," He pauses for a moment, "Taehyung and I are actually...mermen."
Yoongi stares at Namjoon with a blank stare, looking at the man's sparkling skin. "No wonder, your skin sparkles in the light." Yoongi says, crossing his arms and leaning against the chair. "He's not your friend?" Jungkook asked, wide-eyed. "He kills humans. We don't." Taehyung responds, his gaze cold and piercing.
"He's a Siren."
Jungkook shakes his head. "No way. He screamed that one night he tried to kill me. He yelled at himself for trying to kill me!" Namjoon laughs. "That liar—He always lies." Taehyung clicks his tongue, "That cat...Namjoon."
They all look over at the place where Calico was laying. "It's Hibiscus." Taehyung whispered into Namjoon's ear. The cat had a bright pink hibiscus on it's ear. Calico suddenly got up and ran out of the house. Taehyung got up. "Does that mean we have to move again?"
"We're going to get killed if Jimin finds us. He'll turn us in for sure." Namjoon replies, getting up as well.
"Let's pack our bags. Sorry Yoongi. Sorry Jungkook. We must be heading out soon. It's best to not go to the beach anymore. You might be killed as well."
Yoongi sat in a daze. Calico...was just a mere shark that tried to kill the only one he loved? He couldn't believe it; but if it was true, it's best to just run. Jungkook nodded and grabbed Yoongi's hand. "What? Are you guys going to die?" Yoongi said, squeezing the younger's hand real tight. "We're Sirens as well. There's no time. Trust no one." Namjoon says as he swings a huge duffle bag over his shoulder and walks out of the apartment, Taehyung shortly following behind him with a luggage and a backpack.
"Let's go home, hyung."

It was already nighttime. The shimmering stars were out and the sky was speckled with millions of them. It looked just like an abstract painting—so beautiful and calming. Yoongi sat on the edge of the cliff, his legs dangling. Jungkook stayed inside, taking care of the succulent that was left alone for 3 days without water. It was a bit withered but it still looked alright. Yoongi let out a sigh. "What have we gotten ourselves into..."
"Hyung! It's getting late, I'm gonna sleep now!" Jungkook shouted from within the house. Yoongi shouted back, "Go ahead!" He looked back at the ocean, glistening as the moonlight shown on it. "This is dangerous, I should go back now." Yoongi said as he slowly got up. Suddenly, a hand grabbed had grabbed his foot.
"Jungkook!"
Uh oh. He fell.
