The warm and cozy scent of coffee and freshly-baked goods danced in the air, hitting your nostrils and making your mouth water. Cafe Bangtan is what the quaint establishment was called. It was a new small business that opened up in town and you were always eager to trying out local shops and cafes, so you decided to drop in and see what the establishment had to offer. Glancing around the small business, you spotted seven male employees moving about, every single one of them looking like they stepped out of a magazine. You couldn't help but wonder how this place wasn't packed with customers, especially with all the good-looking men working there.

Scanning over the menu, you checked out the wide variety of coffees and other beverages the cafe served. You wanted to try new drinks but you always seemed to go right back to what you were familiar with. Perhaps this time you should make yourself try something new for once.

"Hello." A soft and airy voice caught your attention.
A blonde man standing behind the counter was looking at you with the most adorable soft brown eyes. Glancing at his name tag, you saw the adorable-looking man was named Jimin.
"Hi." You smiled in greeting.
"Is this your first time here?"
"Yes it is. I know you've been open for a couple weeks, I just haven't had time to check it out. Do you have any recommendations?"
"Hmm. Well, we have something called an affogato. It's delicious but it's more of a dessert. Our lattes lattes and americanos are pretty popular." Jimin leaned across the counter. "Don't let anyone know, but I make the best espresso macchiato. It's way better than the ones the rest of the boys make."
"Really?" You inquired with an amused laugh.
"Really. If you don't believe me you can try it yourself."
"Okay. I'll take one."
Jimin nodded and turned to go make your drink only to stop. "Hey, I'll make you a deal. I'll make one espresso macchiato and I'll get one of my buddies here to make another. I'll let you try them and see which one you like. If you choose mine, it's free."
"What. Really?" His offer surprised you and you wondered if he was allowed to do that.
"Mhm!" He hummed, nodding.
"You don't have to do that."
"I don't mind it. Plus I want bragging rights."
"Bragging rights?"
"Yeah. I want to brag to everyone that a pretty girl enjoyed my coffee more than theirs."
"Pretty?" The word was echoed under your breath in disbelief.
"You sure are." He winked, having heard you. "I'll go get started on your coffee."
He moved away from the register, leaving you speechless and beyond flustered, your cheeks feeling warm at the barista's bold and flirtatiously charming behavior.
Cute coffee guy thinks I'm pretty.
You stood still in a daze, blinking and trying to process what on earth just happened.
"You can go sit down." Jimin mentioned with a smirk, glancing over his shoulder when he noticed your expression. "I'll bring the drinks to you."
"Oh." Was all you said before turning away and moving to one of the tables in a cozy corner of the cafe.

Jimin attracted your gaze like a moth to a flame. No matter how hard you tried not to stare, you simply couldn't tear your eyes away from him as he made your coffee. One of the other baristas, assumably Jimin's friend, approached and started making the other coffee. You spared the other barista a glance before shifting your focus back on Jimin. At one point, he turned around and caught you staring. He held up a finger and wagged it at you in a playfully scolding manner.
"No peeking." He mouthed.
You obediently averted your eyes, a small grin playing at the corners of your lips at his playful behavior.
After that, you tried not to watch him, though it was proving to be quite difficult.

A few short minutes later, you heard footsteps and saw a figure approaching in your peripheral. Lifting your gaze, you saw Jimin, a gentle smile on his pretty lips. He carried two espresso macchiatos in his hands, carefully placing them down on the table and taking a seat.
"Take your pick. It doesn't matter which one you start with." He spoke, waiting patiently.
You reached out and took the cup on the left, sipping the caffeinated beverage, savoring the taste for a moment. It was delicious, a little bitter, but the sweetness helped balance it. Placing the small glass cup down, you picked up the other one, lifting it to your lips. After taking a sip of it, you focused on the flavor for a moment, going in for a second try. It tasted the same as the first one, however, there was something different about it. It was a tad sweeter and more rich than the first one. It wasn't too bitter either—the perfect amount of espresso.

"So, what's your decision, beautiful?" Jimin inquired with an expectant grin.
"Hm." You hummed thoughtfully, your eyes drifting back and forth between the two beverages. "I think it's this one." You pushed the cup on the right forward.
A tiny smile played at Jimin's lips and you could tell you'd guessed the right one.
"You're correct." He grinned. "Consider your coffees free."
"Thank you. That's really kind of you."
"There's just one more thing I'll need though."
"What's that?"
"Since your coffees are free, I'll need something in return."
"But you said—"
"Your number." He spoke before you could finish your sentence.
"Huh?"
"I'll need your phone number."
"Oh." Warmth tickled your cheeks and you let out a breathy laugh. "That can be arranged."
Jimin's phone was handed over and you added your number to his contacts, passing the device back to him.
"Y/n." He glanced at the contact name. "I'm Jimin."
"It's nice to meet you." You smiled softly.
He glanced towards the register. "I should be getting back to work, but you and I should get together sometime."
"I'd like that."
"Then I'll text you and we can arrange something." He flashed a heart-melting smile, giving you a small wave. "Enjoy the rest of your drink."
"I will." Your gaze lingered on him as he walked off.
A lovestruck expression made its way onto your features as you wondered what the future had in store for you and the cute barista.
