~Nine~

"Are these caves ever going to come to an end?" Christian complained.

"For the millionth time," Maddie began, "we'll get there when we get there!"

"Ha! You guys are acting like an old married couple," Levi said. Daisy chuckled at his remark.

"What! No, we don't!" Maddie and Christian yelled, both of them blushing red.

"You two totally do," Levi continued. "And you're both blushing! Admit it, you both like each other."

"Did you hit your head on something?" Maddie asked.

"Guys," Daisy began.

"No. I'm just trying to get you to admit it," Levi said.

"Guys."

"Well, we aren't going to admit anything," Christian said.

"Admitting that you have something to hide."

"GUYS!"

"What Daisy?!"

"Keep your voices down. I hear voices," Daisy said. All of them listened into the cave. Daisy was right; they heard people talking.

"They're coming closer," Maddie said.

"There," Levi said, pointing at rocks. "We can hide behind those."

The four teens quickly moved behind the rocks so they weren't seen. They heard the sources of the voices enter the portion of the cave.

"Hello?" one of the voices said. "Is anyone here?"

"We heard voices!"

"Jay, calm down," one of the voices said.

The teens looked at each other. Their parents were right there in front of them. Levi moved over a little to watch through a crack in the rocks.

"I could've sworn I heard voices," Jay said.

"I did too," Evie said.

"Maybe it was just us," Carlos said. "Who would be down here anyway?"

"Carlos is right," Mal said. "Let's just go back."

As the four adults walked back further into the cave, something began happening to Maddie.

"Oh no," Maddie said.

"What's wrong?" Christian asked.

"My magic," Maddie said, showing her hands. Sparks began flying. "I can't control it right now."

"Just relax," Levi said.

"Too late," Maddie said. Suddenly, Maddie's magic shot at the rocks in front of them. The rocks exploded, sending a loud sound through the catacombs.

"See, I told you there was something there," Jay said as the four of them ran back.

The teens then had a light pointed that them. "Well, we've been caught," Daisy said.

"That you four have," Mal said. "What are you four doing here?"

The four teens stood up. "We were looking for-"

"How did you four even get down here?" Carlos asked. "Don't you know how dangerous these catacombs are?"

"We-We entered through my dad's family's mine," Daisy said with nervousness.

Mal began walking in front of them. "Come on," she began. "I'll bring you four back."

"I told you they wouldn't remember us," Daisy whispered to Levi.
