Also, I forgot to mention that this is set three years later than the series now, so Adrien and Marinette are 17
🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸After a long night, Ladybug had finally finished patrol for her part of the city. As usual, she waited on the same rooftop she always would after patrol to talk to Chat. Typically she was left waiting for a couple of minutes, a little bit of time to just think and recollect herself.
As she waited, Ladybug enjoyed the cool breeze brushing along her cheeks, filling her with a sense of freedom and serenity. It was always calm and quiet from where she was as she overlooked part of Paris. It would always bring a smile to her face to realise that she helped people sleep at night knowing that they had a pair of protectors. While her thoughts began to stray, Ladybug's spandex clad partner finally showed up, quiet as ever. Chat could sense how calm things were up there, choosing to remain silent as he took a seat beside her.
"Evening, M'Lady," he finally spoke up, his voice just a whisper in the wind.
"Hey there, Chat," she smiled softly, turning to face him. His face lit up, seeing that sweet smile meant just for him. "How'd you get that limp?" She questioned. Chat faltered, caught off guard by the question.
"You saw that? You didn't even see me walk up to you," he frowned, his cat ears twitching ever so slightly, something Ladybug noticed he did when he was nervous. It still amazed her that his ears and tail had a mind of their own, moving to better show Chat's emotions, despite him trying to hide them so much.
"I notice things, more than you know." Ladybug glanced at him from the corner of her eye.
"Oh. Well I got a little hurt last night after you left, but not to worry M'Lady, t'was nothing more than a scratch!" Chat gave a goofy smile
"Scratches don't really make you limp, Chat," Ladybug reminded. She was slightly offended that he wouldn't tell her the truth-did he not trust Ladybug like he trusted Marinette?
"Okay, some guy cut my side with a knife when he was trying to steal some money. But it's nothing, really Ladybug, I'm fine now," Chat answered with a sigh, giving her a reassuring smile afterwards.
"I don't want you getting hurt, you're my partner and you shouldn't have being doing that on your own. What if it wasn't just a cut, what if you hadn't have been 'just fine'?" Ladybug retorted.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know it meant that much to you," Chat murmured, scratching the back of his neck.
"Of course it would. You're my partner Chat, you mean a lot to me, and I hate to see you getting hurt. So please be more careful next time," Ladybug sighed, giving Chat a weak smile. "Anyway, how are you now, honestly?"
"It hurts a bit, but I'll be fine before you know it!" He responded positively.
"That sounds great," Ladybug chuckled, rising from her place. "I suppose we should be getting home now, and this time, let's not get into any cat fights with strange men?" She laughed, helping Chat to his feet.
"I could pawssibly do that for you, Bugaboo," Chat winked, flashing her a cheeky grin, to which Ladybug just rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Goodnight Chat, stay safe!" Ladybug called as she took of with her yoyo, swinging from building to building.
"Goodnight, Ladybug," Chat smiled to himself, his chest filled with a comforting warmth from his Lady's words.

Marinette only had five minutes tops to transform back and start on her new design of a man's suit when she heard a light tapping at her window. She frowned as she left her desk to check out what it was. To no surprise, it was the alley cat himself, gazing down at her with a crooked smirk.
