Something about today felt different. I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that I start my new job today or maybe it's the fact that I would be meeting my new boss. Either way, there was a shift in the world and I didn't know if that was a good or bad thing. Now here I was standing in front of the building that held my new job. I looked up at the grey and cloudy sky feeling a small trickle of raindrops hit my face before I closed up my umbrella and made my way inside the building. I scanned my card allowing the security doors to open so that I could make my way further into the building, towards the elevator before making my way towards the top floor. After a few minutes, the elevator doors finally opened and I made my way inside the office, wondering why it was so quiet. There was no one else around, in fact, it was rather empty, save for the desk right outside the two black double doors that led to my new boss's office. I walked on the white linoleum floor that led up to the doors and knocked before hearing a "Come in". I opened up one of the doors and closed it behind me before making my way towards my boss's desk.
