Please read.
I know I haven't updated in a while but there are more pressing issues. On 20 June the Legal Affairs Committee voted for the article 13 Censorship machine. This is huge and will prevent all of the following:
*Wont be able to make links e.g click this link here, no one in the EU will be able to share links such as links to cool websites or to pieces if fanfiction
* Wont be able to remix music, these are popular on YouTube but could become a crime
* This threatens several sharing platforms, you wont even be allowed to share some content on social media platforms
* This also threatens blogging platforms such as Tumblr, don't lie I know mist of us here both love and enjoy Tumblr.
* Threatens gamers that live stream, any fans of Jackspeticeye? Well he soon might not be able to do his charity live streams or any gaming streams
* Could also threaten discussion/messaging platforms, the way that communicate with friends in the EU could be at risk
* Memes will be seen as copyright and can be fined, memes wont be allowed to be shared or enjoyed
* The ability to parody things, so fanart, fan fiction and any form of fandom content such as edits, videos and gifs wont be allowed.
And all the above could lead to people being fined, for sharing images or enjoying memes and their fandoms. If this article is passed then that means I wont be able to post any fan fiction, and I have so many stories planned for Marvel, Sonic the Hedgehog, Detroit Become Human and Miraculous Ladybug, but none of those projects will be able to see the light of day if this article is passed.
I'll use Jacksepticeye as an example, if someone draws him a piece of Detroit fan art then he wont be able to see or save it. And yes Britain is leaving the EU, but that wont be for a long time and these laws might still be in place. Please help us save our internet like we had to fight for net neutrality for America.
