After the public confession at school, Jisoo felt like she has no face to show anymore. She felt bad for turning him down. But she couldn't lie about what she truly feels; she liked somebody else and it wasn't Taeyong.

Letting out a low sigh, she rested her head sideways on the window and inserted the other earbud on her left. She played a random indie song and listened to it while looking out from the window. A drop of rain plopped as the sky began to darken and massive clouds formed. Little by little, it rained hard.

In the bus, she happily watched strangers panicking and running around to find a haven at the streets. The scene was merely a small satisfaction to her. At least she could smile after all that happened.

"Don't smile on me, light on me..." she sang along as she pull out her journal from her bag.

"Where did I last put it?" She mouthed, not wanting to stop her mind from jamming along her favorite song. Pages flipped over and finally she found a note lying untouched on the sheet. It's been a week since she had received it━ picked it up accidentally on the floor just next to her locker.

'Sorry.' The note perused. The first time she had laid her eyes on it, a wave of emotions moved her. Sadness and sympathy for this person. He or she must've broken up with someone and mistook her locker to his or her lover's. A lot had happened to Jisoo long since the first day of school.

A loud 'ting' from her phone stirred her from her deep thoughts. She looked down on her phone to see a new message in her inbox. Her eyes enlarged to what she saw. The same unknown contact number appeared on the phone's screen.

Sorry baby

Her thumb scrolled down as previous messages showed up. She might have not seen these since she was in class and barely checked her notifications earlier.

Where are you?

Please pick up

Let's talk

Jisoo glanced at the note and back at he phone. Weird how she thinks these were unexpectedly related and that they came from the same person.

She rushed into the house and hurriedly took her shoes off. Not bothering her father who just came out of the kitchen and was about to ask how her day was, she ran upstairs and into her room.

The door was slammed, causing her father downstairs shuddered. "Ah, what happened to that kid?" he shook his head as he sat on the cozy sutton chair and turned on the television.

Meanwhile, Jisoo dashed towards the desk in her room and took the journal out of her bag. She breathed in and out before she turned on her phone and scanned through new and old messages. Her calf was tickled by a wonted hair that caused her to look down on a jocular white Maltese dog. She seemed less relaxed and at the same time, delighted for she missed cuddling with her pet.

Bending her knees onto the floor, she carried Dalgom in her arms. Her soft cheeks rubbed against its pure white fur as she fondled it. She lifted the dog up in the air, attacking it again with kisses and talked sweet nothingness. "How's my bad baby Dalgomie?"

The dog seemed to understand as it turned its head away from Jisoo. "Ohmy, my little Dalgomie hates being called bad..." She pulled it forward, jokingly putting the innocent dog into her wide opened mouth.

She giggled and placed Dalgom back on the floor. Looking at the desk, she eyed the phone and pressed its contact, shutting her eyes as her finger came nearer the call button. Her eyes squinted trying to peek but was startled to see someone calling on her screen. "What if he's calling?" She whispered and peeped through her hands covering her face.

Lisa calling...

She sighed in relief. It was Lisa, her childhood friend, all along. Her anxiety that the mysterious sender slash writer might call her.

"Jisoo-unnie!" A loud shriek met her when she put the phone on her right ear.

She mentally slapped herself. "Yah! Don't you dare call me and shout right into my ears, you punk!" She yelled back in gritted teeth.

"Bad Jisoo-unnie! I was trying to ask how are you doing. You know how much I missed my bestfriend."

Aww! She could imagine Lisa pouting and having that puppy- teary-eyes on her face, and laughed out loud. "Unnie? Are you laughing at me?" Lisa asked in curiosity. "That's what you have become after I left! I will surely come back !"

"Do not worry, pokpak. I am completely fine. And I missed you too." She assured her.

Lisa left the country and flew to Thailand to pay a visit to her parents. She promised to comeback next semester. They had been best of friends since childhood when Lisa was a foreign student in their preschool. They were also neighbors but sadly Lisa's family moved out when they were in elementary and returned to Thailand, leaving Lisa to Jisoo's family for years. Her parents did not neglect her, in fact they always send all her needs, financially or material, and visit her every holidays.

"I missed you, chichoo! Gotta go, love yah!" They bid their goodbyes before the line went dead.

I hope she returns this instance, Jisoo murmured to herself.

Taking a bite of Pikachu churro to her mouth, Jisoo lied down on bed as she was watching a comedy tv show  on her phone.

She caught a glimpse of the time on her screen. It was 10PM in the cold evening. That time around, her phone vibrated making her grunt in annoyance. "Why bother me in the middle of the night?"
