Chapter 11 | change

I woke up and looked over to lance whom is still sleeping, I need to see my family today, my mother needs to know Shiro is back, Besides, lance needs to go home before his parents think he hates them.

I walked over to my closet and put on some boxers and walked downstairs, I made some coffee and sat downstairs waiting for lance to wake up. Luckily it's Saturday so I don't have to wake lance up.

After awhile of sitting downstairs waiting Lance came downstairs wearing only a big sweater-my sweater.

I smirked at him and placed my coffee on the table, I got up and walked over to him.

I grabbed lance by the waist from behind him and kissed his neck "I need to see my family today and you need to see yours before your parents think you're dead" I said into his ear

I could see lance bit his lip at my actions before nodding his head "but I can see you after, right?" He asked

"Of course" I said smiling

After I had driven lance home I drove back up to my house, I really need to talk to my mom about Shiro seeing she knows how to deal with him best.

I walked inside the house and looked around "hello?" I called

"Keith?" My mom called from upstairs

I walked upstairs towards my mom to see her sitting at her computer working her 'job'

"Mom I need to tell you something" I said

"I need to tell you something as well" she said turning to look at me

"What?" I asked

She looked at me and sighed, "have you been feeling anxious around lance yet? Like as if you want to bite him?" She asked

I shrugged "a little, why?" I asked

"Because your inner self is trying to turn him, trying to make him your mate for life" she spoke

My eyes widened "what?" I asked

She sighed once more realizing this would be more difficult to talk about, "you see, I was once human like you, unlike your father who was born a vampire I was changed, by him. The thing is he had to, if he didn't he would've just killed me and drank my blood. You may go on living with lance without changing him but it will be hard, very hard, you will be constantly trying to not feed off him and kill him, so I suggest you do it sooner then later" my mother said sadly

"B-but, can't it kill him?" I asked

"Only if he isn't strong enough and if he truly doesn't want it, in other words if he rejects it" she explained

"What happens if he rejects it?" I asked

"His neck will snap" she said slowly "so, don't just do it, make sure he's ready make sure it's something he wants" she added

I nodded slowly

"Now, what did you need to say" she said trying to move from the touchy subject

"It's Shiro, he's back" I said

My mom messaged the bridge of her nose after I explained to her everything that had happened since he arrived, she knew this was coming but she didn't know he would be here so soon and what would bring him back.

"Why do you think?" I asked

"Either because of you or just like what you said, because people are noticing that he has never gone to school and just lives in the darkest part of town" she said shrugging genuinely not having a straight answer

I sighed

I need lance right now.

Lances pov:

As I sat with my parents who had missed me dearly I thought about wether or not I should tell them, come out to them as gay.

They have always been very strict with what they think but they always said they would love me no matter what but sometimes I just don't know about them.

I had told my parents that I was sleeping over at a friends house to do our project that was for a lot of our mark, it was a rushed excuse but they weirdly didn't seem to care.

As we all sat together I sighed and stood up

"Where you going lance?" My mother spoke

"I'm not going anywhere, I just need to tell you something and I don't know wether you will accept me after or not" I said shakily

"You didn't kill someone did you?" My father spoke and my mom looking over to him with wide eyes as if saying 'really?'

I sighed "no," I said

"Then what?" He asked

"I'm gay" I said letting out everything that had been weighing me down

My mom smiled happily as if she had always known just never wanted to bug or ask, as for my father he looked a little shocked, but he didn't seem mad.

My mom got up from where she was sitting and hugged me "I'm so glad you told us" she said smiling

I held her tightly in the hug not realizing how much this had been affecting me, this small word that I was so afraid of.

I looked over to my dad who now had a small smile, he got up like my mother and hugged me "I'm happy with whatever life you choose as long as it isn't killing someone" he said with a chuckle

I smiled into our hug

Now how do I tell them my boyfriend is a vampire?
