It's been a helluva ride

From the day we first met

To two thousand and eighteen.

You bring out the neon colours

The one with shine and spark

All those letters and the postcards

And the things we sent

Will forever leave behind a mark

Of truthfulness and best of times

Of loyalty and worst of crimes

A long distance away

But we still manage to stay

The way were were

But now times have changed.

We laugh and cry more

Those awkward moments

Are less, almost vanished in thin air.

You're like the sister I never had

A mermaid
