When Sunfeather met Pineshade, she was only an apprentice. She fell in love with him early on, captivated by his power and skill. When she became a warrior, the two swiftly became involved. Moons later, they had a litter of three kits. But by that time, Sunfeather had come to resent him. He had gradually grown more and more possessive and controlling until it became unbearable. Although she felt guilty for it, Sunfeather was incredibly relieved when he was at last killed during the LeafClan battle. Finally, Sunfeather could focus on raising her kits without him, as all three had come to be afraid of their father.
