Chapter 8

That person wasn't Crystal...

"I missed you, Y/n."

"Mark?" I finally spoke

"Did you miss me?" He asked

"Mark." I said again

Mark looked down at my hand that was holding Jungkooks hand and then looked at my ring.

"I see you've replaced Jackson." Mark said

"Jackson is now my best friend and he has a girlfriend. You've missed so much that has happened, you've missed so many years." I said

"Uh, Y/n?" Jungkook poked me

"Ah, yes! This is Jungkook, my husband! And this is Mark, my best friend!" I introduced

"Husband? I didn't think you would even talk to any boy since you were too busy crying over your break up with Jackson." Mark smiled. I glared at him and hit him on the back of his head.

"Come to my house, I'll explain everything you missed throughout the years. Jungkook, I'll explain to you about Mark too." I said

We arrived at my house and saw Miss Wong cleaning.

"Miss Wong, please have another day off. You deserve it." I said, setting my shopping bags down.

"But-" Miss Wong started

"No buts, your kids will want to spend time with you." Jungkook cut her off

"Thank you!" Miss Wong smiled and exited the house

"Sit down." I motioned Mark to sit down on the couch.

I was about to ask if he would like anything to drink but I was too lazy too get up so nah.

"Soooo Mark, Jackson, and I were all best friends since we were young. Jackson confessed and we started dating. When Jackson cheated on me, Mark was always there for me when I cried all the time. Mark and Jackson were still best friends even though I cried my eyes out because of Jackson. Until Mark had to move to New York because of his parents work and we lost contact with each other." I explained

"I almost thought you were cheating on me." Jungkook said

"I would never!"

I explained to Mark what happened during high school years (in book 1) and some college stuff and it seems that Jungkook and Mark has gotten more close together.

"Oh, and guess who I found while I was in New York." Mark said

"Who?" I asked

"Chen and Baekhyun."

"Chen and Bacon? They said that they went to China." Jungkook said

"Lies. I saw them making out with some girls at the club." Mark said

"You went to the club?!" I yelled

"Chill, I needed some girls so I went to the club." He shrugged

I rolled my eyes

Chen and Baekhyun said that they had to leave to China for some work. Those liars! (If you don't remember them, they were in book 1)

"Now that we're done talking, get out." I said, pointing to the door.

"Already? But I wanna hang out with you guys." Mark pouts

"Tomorrow." I said

"Hehe, well I have a little tiny problem..." Mark laughs nervously

"What?"

"I don't have anywhere to go..." he answered

"So you flew here all the way from New York and planned on living on the streets?"

"I actually thought you could take me in?" Mark asked

"Nu uh! No way!" I tried pushing him out

"Wait Wait Wait! Please? I have no where to go! I'm your best friend! Please!" He begged

"Y/n, why don't we let him stay until he goes back to New York?" Jungkook said, trying to make me let go of Mark.

"When are you going back to New York?" I asked

"Well the thing is, I have a reason why I came to Korea." He said fiddling with his fingers.

"What is that reason?"

"I might have played with too many girls that they are looking for me and trying to kill me." He laughed nervously once again.

I breathed in and out. In and out. In and out. Dang it now I want In-N-Out!

"New York is big, they can't just find you." I said

"That's what I thought too! But they kept finding me and I thought that they wouldn't go all the way to Korea just to find me. Your the only one I know that can take care of me!" Mark said with puppy eyes.

"What about your parents?" I asked

His mood suddenly dropped.

"They abandoned me..." Mark said sadly

"They abandoned you? Why!" I grew angry

"I was always out with girls and they said I was a disappointment." (that's what my parents said😭)

I would've done that too.

"Hey!" Mark yelled

"Wait, did I just say that aloud?" I asked

They both nodded and I laughed nervously.

"Fine, you can stay. But no bring girls home! If you do, I'll have Miss Wong kick you out!" I said

"Yay! Thank you so much bestie!" He hugged me.

"Hey! No touching!" Jungkook pulled him away

I directed Mark to his room and he started unpacking. How did I not notice he had a suitcase the whole time?

While I was heading back to me and Jungkooks room, I saw Jungkook dancing in the dance studio. Yes, we got a dance studio since he needs to practice for concerts. We always miss a bunch of days in college because of what we do but we still focus on college.

I arrived in our room and decided to go sleep without him. I plopped myself onto the bed and fell asleep fast.
