Things never just go according to plan do they? They never go the way we want them to no matter how much is planned. When it comes to planning, everything is thought through; every action, every place, each person, everything down to the last detail is planned out. And yet life always has a way of throwing things off course, be it a simple thing like a piece of paper or a sneeze. In this case however, it had to do with Eren transforming into a titan to pick up the boulder. What they hoped to just be a little to no casualty mission was now more than they had prepared for. When Eren had transformed into a titan to pick up the boulder, he didn't turn his attention to it. If he had sneezed that would've been a much better than their current situation, even him getting distracted by a butterfly would've been perfectly fine. Instead, he did something worse. He tried to attack Mikasa. He would've succeeded if [Y/n] hadn't moved fast enough to pull her out of harms way. "Shit this is bad." she grunted under her breath and stopped at a roof top, watching Eren carefully as Mikasa stared in shock that the one person she'd give her own life for tried to take hers, "Mikasa snap out of it!" She gasped, looking at the one who saved her, "Look whatever it is right now, we need to knock him off his feet or unconscious before someone actually gets hurt or killed." [Y/n] didn't take her eyes off Eren, "I know you're worried about him but right now we need to focus on staying alive and out of his reach." She would've continued to pull Mikasa away but the girl was stubborn, she used her gear to shoot herself forward, avoiding Eren's fist and stopped at his face, trying to snap him out of it and held onto his hair, looking into his glowing green eyes.

"Eren, I know you're in there!" she persisted, not giving up on him despite the order for her to get away from him, "I know you recognize me!" "Mikasa he needs to be knocked unconscious, get away from him!" [Y/n] yelled at her from the roof, she made a mental note to yell at her later for doing something so stupidly reckless. "Come on Eren! Snap the hell out of it!" Mikasa ignored her, getting Eren's eyes to focus on her. "Damn it Eren we have a breech to seal up!" Behind the three on another roof top observing, Nico loaded the signal gun with a red flare, believing they have failed the mission since they were using a power that they didn't understand, and pulled the trigger once she aimed it in the air. "Eren listen to me, you're human!" Out of her field of vision, Eren's fist began to shake but it was not out of sight for Ian Dietrich, the leader of the group. He was quick to warn her of the attack before Eren sent his fist into his face in attempts to attack her again. Once she was near [Y/n], the [h/c] haired female didn't hesitate or wait to yell at her then and there, "I thought I told you last time not to be selfish when it comes to Eren and that this isn't the time or place for your brother complex! Our lives are at stake right here and now!" It was reasonable to be angry with her, "I get that you're worried, but for the sake of living think for once before you put other lives in danger just because Eren's in trouble; you're no good to him dead." Reluctantly, Mikasa nodded and they watched Eren topple to the ground, laying against a boulder giving off streams of steam from its body. "Heads up!"

"We got two titans bearing down on us from the front! A ten meter and a six meter!" this warning came from one of the soldiers trying to lure the titans away from them, "There's a twelve meter closing in on us from the rear!" [Y/n]'s [e/c] eyes widened slightly, she was so focused on getting Mikasa away from Eren while he was out of control of himself that she didn't notice them approaching. "Ian, that's it. Please, just look at him." Mitabi, the other elite assigned to guard Eren, told their leader referring to Eren's fallen form, "We need to get out of here, the plan's a bust." "Agreed," Nico didn't even hesitate, "Full withdrawal, we have to leave him as he is." Mikasa and [Y/n] stared at the three in anger that they would just consider abandoning him while he's vulnerable to be eaten by other titans. The look in Mikasa's eyes and the blood lust in [Y/n] shocked Ian as he looked back at them, nearly terrified of how protective they were and how angry they were towards them. He couldn't bring himself to look them in the eye.
