Chapter 8

It's a Friday evening, and I'm shopping at the highpoint last minute to buy Dusty and Kenzie a gift while Dustin and Kylie are having their alone time at home together.

I stepped into the Gucci store to buy Dustin a pair of Gucci embroidered sneakers, Gucci watch and a red top and Kenzi a red Gucci polo dress and a backpack.

As I continued shopping and going to other stores to buy more gifts, I felt a tap on my back, and when I moved to see who it is, it was David Astbury.

" Hey Catherine" David said as I finally looked at him and both exchanged hugs.

" Hey, David" I smiled and let go.

" What are you doing here?" he asked looking at all the bags that I'm carrying.

" You know just shopping for Dusty and Trent and Brooke's daughter" I replied

" Oh, It's their Birthday...Right?" he questioned me, and I nodded.

" Yeah, Are you coming to Trent's and Brooke house tomorrow," I asked as we both walked out of the store and went to a cafe.

" No, No one told me to come" he responded smiling at me trying to not show his emotions.

" Come with me and Dustin," I suggested wanting him to come with us but all he did was just shake his head.

"No. Well, I gotta go" David said and gave me a kiss on the cheeks and left while I finished my coffee and continued shopping.

I woke up in the morning tired and instead of having breakfast and all I decided to get in the shower and get changed to go to Trent and Brooke's house with Dustin. As I got downstairs, I saw Dustin in the lounge room by himself which left me confused about where Kylie is.

" Where is Kylie?" I asked

" Kylie left early this morning to go and hang out with her friends since we are going to Trent and Brooke's house" he responded and I nodded my head.

" Are you ready to leave?" Dustin asked as he saw me with my purse and the bags filled with bags I am holding.

" I'm ready to go but not until I give you your present," I said and walked up to him to give him his gift.

" Aww, Catherine you didn't have to" Dustin responded and gave me a hug straight away.

When Dustin and I arrived at Trent and Brooke's house, there were at least fifty people in their house to celebrate Kenzie and Dustin's.

" Welcome guys," Brooke said as we entered and gave her a hug.

" Omg you didn't have to Catherine" Brooke reacted as she saw the bags I was carrying for Kenzie.

" Well I gotta spoil Kenzie on her birthday" I replied and gave her a hug as she saw me with the gifts.

" Take a seat guys..right over there," Brooke said pointing to where her family and all Trent's mates from the club and their partners are sitting.

" Oh, Hi Dustin," Trent's mum said as we took a seat next to her, her husband and near Jack Riewoldt and his wife.

" Hi, Mrs Cotchin" Dustin replied jack and gave her a hug and to Trent's dad as well.

" Who's this young lady?" Trent's dad winked at Dusty looking at me.
