With that, I pressed the call button. It rang for a few times but it went straight to voicemail after. Frustrated, I called again but to no avail.

I dialed her once again and it rang for a long time that I thought it would go to voicemail soon but when the ringing stop, I didn't hear any automated message—instead, I was met with silence. I put the phone away from my ear and looked at the screen. A feeling of ecstasy rushed through me, emitting a small gasp from me whilst quickly putting the phone close to my ear once again.

"Hello? Oh my God you finally picked up!" I shrieked, expecting her to respond but only silence could be heard. I nearly thought my phone was broken until she replied.

"Hi" She responded in a low, croaked voice that made me frown. She is crying, I knew it

"Hey.. I never got to send this back then but you are pretty, I know that so you don't need to wear a mask okay? and whatever you're going through right now, you're not alone. I'm here and I won't leave you,"

No response. All I could hear was her muffled sobs she desperately tries to hide but I wasn't going to be oblivious.

"..I wish... one day, I can finally see you without your mask."
