(Iona)

"I'm-I'm not really... sure..." I said to the girl. She reached up as to grab her hair, then quickly dropped her hand. "I think we might have come here on a boat though, seeing as there is all this wood..." I felt kind of nervous talking to this strange girl, and yet somehow I felt completely comfortable around her, as if we had known each other for several years.

I pushed the feeling aside quickly. It didn't matter if we knew each other. We just had to figure out where we were. "Do you know what animal that was? I asked, hearing the murmurs and scuttling of creatures in the forest near us. "It sounded... kind of like a bird, but it was really loud for a bird. And I think we're on... maybe some kind of island?" I guessed, looking around at the beach that curved out of sight about a half-mile away. "Maybe we should see if we can find someone else to help us. Oh, by the way my name is Iona." I said, smiling shyly and looking down at my torn up dress. "What's your name?"
