Where they met:

Black had just completed the Unova League And won, but being champion wasn't lol he thought it'd be. He gave it up to his friend Iris and decided to go visit another's region. Maybe to find that spark Again. Once battling becomes your job, it isn't fun. When battling is your choice, then it's fun. 

So Black went to Hoenn. Maybe he can find something different here. He sailed to Slateport City and the first person he sees his a brunette girl with blue eyes. She looks over and sees him, getting  large cocky smirk over her face. She pointed at him.

"You! You're not from Hoenn! Battle me!"

Black didn't exactly feel like battling so soon, but the rules of trainers means he can't turn down a challenge. They went into a place in the city where not a lot of people were. Not like it would help, a circle of people formed around Black and the mystery girl. She sent out a Pokémon that looked like the fire type starter of this region. Perfect. Black sent out his Samurott.

After the battle Black won, but by the skin of his teeth. It was really fun and he was smiling by the end. The girl returned her last Pokémon, a flying type She called Altaria. Black had his Semisear return and he walked up to the girl.

"That was an awesome battle. I'm Black, Former Champion Of Unova."

Her eyes lit up and she took his hand. 

"I'm Sapphire!"

Sapphire didn't expect to be battlin someone's who used to be the champion of a whole region today! AND ALMOST WINNING!!! Sapphire was estatic! She shook his hand and smiled at Black. Today was AWESOME!!!!

Sapphire, huh? Black would remember her once he goes back home. But for now he wants to stay in Hoenn for a while. Maybe get to know Sapphire a little bit and have her take him around the Region. Like White did.

This was going to be great.

Fluff moment:

"And this is Petalburg city! It's quiet but nice. There's a small lake over there and other than that the people are really nice!"

Sapphire showed Black around the majority of the region. All thst sounds left is here and going back through Petalburg forest to her hometown. Black looked around and seemed like he was having a good time. He seemed like he was at a blissful peace.

In Black's mind it was perfect. In Unova it's big cities and even rural places have lots of buildings. The fact this region has places like this is just amazing to Black. With an atmosphere like this, he never wanted to leave.

"Are we allowed to stick our legs in the water? You know, at the lake?"

Sapphire blinked. Did he Seriosuly just ask that? But she would be a liar if she hasn't dine that out of curiosity or trying to touch a Pokémon with her feet. Sapphire nodded and took his hand in her own.

"Yeah! Here, let's go!"

Sapphire walked slowly with Black next to her, hand in hand. They made it to the small lake and Sapphire plopped down. Some Pokémon that were there were a little scared off. Black smiled and rolled up his panrs before sticking his own legs in. This was so peaceful. He loved it. He entwined his hand with Sapphire's again. She noticed.

"You must really like holding my hand, Black."

Black blushed a little causing her to giggle. That's when a Hoenn Pokemon that Black didnt reallt know swam up to him. He reached out his free hand towards it. The Pokémon nuzzled into his hand causing Black to smile almost proudly. Sapphire giggled.

"That's an Azumaril. Third evolution of Azuril."

Black nodded and kept showing the wild Pokémon affection. That's when other Pokémon in the lake started to come around. Sapphire and Black had to break their hands away from eachother to love on all the Pokémon in the take.

Norman stepped out of the gym to see Sapphire And a boy at the lake, playing with the wild Pokémon. He smiled and walked back into the gym, silently shipping it to himself.

Heartbreaking moment:

Sapphire was holding onto Black like there was no tomorrow and he was about to rush face first into the Vietnam war. Wait, wrong universe. Rush face first into the Pokémon league with nothing but a level one bidoof. She didn't want him to go!

"Sapphire, you can always come with me."

Black offered her to come with him to Unova, but she could leave! She can't lewve Ruby! She can't leave Wallace! And Steven and Wally and Brendan and May! As much as she wanted to go to Unova with Black, she can't leave her friends behind!

"Why can't you just stay!?"

Black sighed. A year. He's been away from home fire a year. It's time to go home for him. He was a little homesick for Unova. Sapphire broke from the hug to look in his eyes. She was crying. Well, she had a good reason to.

"Because I have people who miss me there. You won't join me for the same reason."

With that, Black pressed a kiss to her cheek and left for then boat on the beach. Sapphire wiped her eyes and watched him leave. Weakly, he waved him off as the boat left the dock. Black turned around and waved back.

And he won't be back for at least a year.

Overview:

Wow. This... this is adorable. I ship it. Wow this is just awesome! I fell in love woth these two just looking at the art! I bet you can tell by the ship name. Lol. But seriously I think these two have excellent compatibility. Sapphire is like White but more energetic and spontaneous so I think Black would be used to her easily and love her. Stubbornness and all. Meanwhile Black is a lot different than Ruby so I think Sapphire would appreciate the difference. I just love these two and they make a perfect ship!
