Where they met:

All gym leaders from across the regions meet up once a tear for two weeks to greet new gym leaders and catch up. These meetings rotate regions each time. This one was taking place in Kanto at the Kanto League. 

Erika was minding her own business with her Bellsprout when Roxie came up. She asked if it was a grass/Poison Type and Erika responded with a yes. Roxie introduced herself as the new Unova Gym Leader Of Poison types. Since Clay, Cilan, Chili, And Cress quit And all someone had to take their spot! Well, her and Marlon.

Erika didn't know why, but she took a liking towards the punk girl. They spent an hour drinking tea together, talking, and laughing about personal experiences. Both girls were total opposites, but they managed to become best friends.

Now, every year, they will meet up at the Gym Leader meetings and spend the entire time together. But it wasn't long before Erika and Roxie's both started to have romantic feelings for eachother~

Fluff moment:

Roxie was jamming out on her guitar in the room she was given by the Johto league while she stayed. The reason why it was perfect is because it was soundproof and she could practice her songs all night without disturbing anyone else in the building! That rocked!

So she was figuring out how she wants her new song to go when she heard a gentleman knock at the door. A wide, dorky smile swept over her face as she put her guitar back on her bed and ran up to the door. She stood on her tiptoes to see through the small hole in the door. Sure enough, Erika was standing there in her pajamas. She opened the door with a big smile.

"Hey 'Rika! Ready for an awesome night of awesomeness?"

Erika smiled and nodded politely, entering the room and having Roxie close the door behind her.  Every year, they spend a time least one of the nights as a sleepover night where they just do whatever they want. The best part was the room was soundproof so it was perfect for try not to laugh videos. lol.

"Writing a new song?"

Erika looked over and saw the guitar resting on her bed and several pages of lyrics surrounding it. Roxie giggled nervously and fumbled to clean it all up. Erika just watched her, amused. Roxie always amused her and never failed to make her laugh. That was one of the reasons she was starting to crush on the punk girl.

"There! All cleaned up! Now, let's have fun!"

And fun they did have.

Heartbreaking moment:

Erika decided to take a surprise visit to Unova. She wanted to see Roxie and couldn't wait a whole other year. The gym was slow so she thought it woudlnt be much of a problem. Besides, the other girls there could maintain it without her for a little while. But that left Erika practically stranded in Unova.

"Excuse me? Can you please show me where Roxie's gym is?"

She politely asked a pedestrian. She looked her up and down and then rose an eyebrow. It was what Roxie called one of her fans. A punk boy. He just have figured she was absolutely fucking insane. He just scoffed at her.

"No, I wouldnt. Get lost nerd."

He shoved her out of his way and kept walking. Erika stood up and brushed herself off. That was rude. She then turned and saw another punk boy. Maybe he will have better manners. Besides, he had a guitar strung over his back! Maybe they played the same music? Hopefully.

"Excuse me, can you please show me where Roxie's gym is?"

The boy looked at her again and smile awkwardly. But then he saw her attire. A long elegant kimono. She was also wearing a badge with a rainbow on it. Because, you know, her gym carried the rainbow badge. The boy scoffed and shoved her out of the way.

"Get lost lesbian fag."

Erika stumbled to the ground again, but didn't want to get up. Lesbian? That wasn't a pride button! That was her gym badge! Yes, she wore it with pride, but she doesn't celebrate pride month unless it is Pride month! Erika sniffled and stood up yet again.

She had to find Roxie entirely on her own now. She didn't have the courage to ask anyone else for directions.

Overview:

If you don't think this ship is cute, there must be something wrong. Sometimes opposites can be the perfect match! Erika and Roxie red the perfect example of this. Two people you would never think would get along just finding common interests and become friends, and then soon after it lovers! It's just a beautiful concept for me! I'm always a sucker for friends who fall in love woth eachtoher! Just imagine Erika being out of place going to one of Roxie's concerts or Roxie visiting Erika and being out of place woth the other girls who stay over there. Sure, there will be fights and awkward moments, but I'm sure their love will conquer all. It's jusr a beautiful pairing  and I really love it. They're proof opposites do attract.
