Where they met:

It was at a big fossil convention in Hoenn. Roark begged his dad to go when he was about seven years old. He found a real cool fossil in the Oreburgh mines and wanted to showcase it. His dad agreed to going and now Roark as happily showing off his cool fossil and wandering around. That's when he ran into our favorite platinum haired boy who was twelve years old.

"Hey! I'm Roark! Check out this fossil! I think it's from a Crainios!"

Steven, the other boy, looked at the fossil with wonder. Woah! He never heard of a Pokémon like that. He gestured as if asking to hold the fossil and the brunette boy practically shoved it in his Arms. He examined it. It was clearly extracted way better than he could extract any crystal in a Cavern. He was very impressed.

"Woah, this is so cool! Did you do get it out yourself?"

"Uh-huh!"

No need for thinking about that. This was the first time his dad let him go into the mine alone after all! Steven was absolutely amazed. He gave the fossil back to the boy and took out a gemstone he managed to find in Orgin Cave on a visit there. He watched his eye show light up bebind his glasses.

"Woah! That's so cool! What is that?"

Steven smiled wide, finally getting a turn to showcase something he found himself. He knew the boy, Roark, won't  be able to carry the stone and the fossil so he just showed it and turned it around so he could see all the angles of the mysterious stone.

"I found it in a cavern wall. I think it's an evolution Stone. Maybe a shining stone or dawn stone. It looks cool though. Oh! And I'm Steven."

And this love of rocks would start a love of a new kind. Both boys would come back every other year to meet up with a wagon or bag of their latest finding some and showcase to one another what they found until they were old enough (sixteen years old) to have their own exhibits. 

They'd grow close.

Fluff moment:

Roark decided to visit Steven in Hoenn once his father decided he was old enough to travel alone. So sixteen year old Roark stood in the airport, searching for a sing that said his name. Since he and Steven started talking on social media they agreed to meet at the airport. 

That's when he saw a glittered and bedazzled sign held up that read Roark My Darling. Roark blushed redder than a Ruby or slab of Garnet. He walked over towards the sign with his bag rolling behind him.

In the distance, he could see Steven just hanging his head in defeat and another's boy he assumed was his much talked about best friend Wallace holding up the sign. His eye caught onto  Roark and he winked, pushing the sign into Steven and strutting away like a supermodel on the catwalk. Roark just walked up to Steven with a wide smile and his arms out.

"Stevie!"

Yes, Steven accepted that Roark made him a nickname. He got it at that first convention. Steven dropped the sign as Roark dropped his bag and went in for the big hug. The two boys hugged it out while Wallace was being a creep and taking photos on his phone from an unseen distance for future blackmail use. Oh, and a proof that Steven is gay compliation.

"I havent seen you in person in a while, Roark. It's nice to get a hug. Now, to home?"

Roark nodded with a big smile, keeping the hug.

"To home."

Heartbreaking moment:

Two reasons:

1.) I don't feel like it

2.) They don't deserve it

 These two are super adorable! Just imagine them fanboying over rocks together and denying their gay to their friends/family's but they already know and accepted the fact that they're gay. Well, Wallace would embrace the fact Steven's gay but that's not the point! These two just have the right chemistry's And so much alike yet so few unalike yet it still works despite having a a ace of differences. Two of the biggest rock nerds in the world being in a relationship. How has this not become a ship earlier? ITS PERFECT!!!
