I often wonder what would've happened between us if you stayed.

maybe life would've decided to have pity on us and give us permanent happiness where our love was nothing but smiles and giggles. where we would see sunshine for days, eat chocolate and live a life where contact comfort became normal. maybe we could have moved in together. you would make us breakfast like you always mentioned you wanted to do but never did. I would drag you out of bed, ready to start the day with you.

maybe you would've loved me back.

maybe if you stayed, I could've witnessed you dyeing your hair a crazy colour like blue, we could've gone to the dog cafe like you wanted. you always told me- I like puppy. I felt like I liked a puppy too.

we could've completed your bucket list and spent the rest of our lives together. but staying with me was never a part of your list.
