...

"hey!" hoseok greeted namjoon and seokjin with a hug as they walked up to them while jimin stood beside them somewhat awkwardly.

as his friends caught up with everyday life, jimin didn't utter a word and played with the hem of his shirt, twisting it in knots. he wasn't a person that really socialized in real life.  "nice to see you guys again."

seokjin responded with an enthusiastic nod, his handsome face gleaming in the sunlight. "oh, hey! you must be jimin." seokjin turned towards the shorter boy, outstretching his hand. jimin responded by shyly shaking his and namjoon's hands.

"nice to meet you," jimin smiled politely, happy to finally meet his strange internet friends. "in real life, i mean. it feels surreal."

namjoon laughed. "i promise we're not that bad in real life," he responded, his hand still clasped around seokjin's as he swung it lightly.

"i don't know about that," seokjin snorted. he opened his mouth, about to say something else, but was interrupted by a hoot from namjoon.

"oh, there's yoongi and tae!" namjoon waved his hand high above his head, his dimples on display as he grinned widely towards the two new arrivals.

jimin adjusted his cap as he squinted against the harsh sunlight. he could faintly make out two shadows, one slightly taller than the other as they drew closer. finally, he made out the faces of yoongi and taehyung, and jimin felt a smile playing on his face.

"hey guys. woah." taehyung raised his eyebrows in wonder as the two continued to walk closer, to which yoongi nodded in agreement. "the orange hair looks even better in real life."

jimin felt his cheeks heat up slightly at the compliment. "oh, thanks!" he gazed around at all of his friends around him, his eyes lit up as his pupils reflected the sunlight shining down on them. "wow, i'm actually meeting you guys."

seokjin smiled at the younger boy as red and orange leaves fluttered and swooped around the cluster of boys. "mhm. so, uh, what's to do around here?"

hoseok's eyes grazed his surroundings. "oh, there's this really amazing ice cream shop that's really close. we should totally go there!"

while the other boys nodded and murmured in agreement, taehyung couldn't help but sneak a glance at jimin's bright orange hair, which complemented the autumn leaves perfectly.

jimin tilted his head to the left, accidentally locking eyes with taehyung. taehyung flashed a small grin at the shorter boy, to which jimin responded with a bright smile that turned his eyes into crescent moons.

"i guess jungkook's not coming," hoseok interrupted the duo's small moment and turned away to walk towards the ice cream shop. "that sucks. he's obsessed with that place."

as if on queue, a distant hoot resonated through the air, causing the six boys to turn their heads towards the source of the sound. "wait for me!"

bursting out in laughter, they spotted jungkook sprinting towards the group, his hair tussled, as if he had just woken up. jungkook casually slung his arm around taehyung as he panted hard, his face a light shade of red.

"i hope i didn't miss the ice cream," he grinned and ran his hand through his messy hair; he had obviously just recently woken up. "that's totally the only reason i'm here."

now fully reunited, the happy group of boys chattered and laughed as they headed into the distance, not having a care in the world.

a slightly colder breeze swirled through the air as a cloud covered up the bright sun. in the distance, dark clouds began to creep up on the noisy city.

jimin took off his baseball cap and ran his hand through his hair before readjusting the cap, and he couldn't help but stare at the dark clouds. a musty scent hung in the air, signaling an upcoming storm.

jimin was absolutely terrified of storms, but he forced the thought to the back of his mind. he was happy at that moment, and that was all that mattered.
