Paisley visited me a few days later because she was worried about me.And I totally forgot Everett was home.

"Pais,you cant come in." I stated.

"Why?"she laughed,peering inside.

I closed the door even more."Because um my place is a mess and I need to clean up."

"Ive seen your place and it is never messy.Let me in."She tried to push her way inside.

"Stop! Just listen to me.Go home.I will text you later."I sighed.

"Is someone there? A guy? Is it Cee Jay?"

"Nah,its not."I turned. Everett was standing behind me.I felt his arm wrap around my waist.I let him.

"Wait-are you guys together?"

"Yup" "No"

I glared at him."We are not together."

He is confusing the hell out of me.He makes it seem like he does this all the time but when it's just us, he's so nervous.

"So whats going on? Why haven't I seen you in so long?And why am I not freaking out right now? EVERETT KING!!!"Paisley zoomed past me and jumped on Every.

I giggled,closing the door.

"Okay, dont touch me there." He whispered,as I tried to hold his hand as a joke.

He pulled away.

Weird,right?

I shrugged.The tv was on the news.

"Superstar Everett King has been running around with his new mystery girl and his fans are not too happy."

Ugh.I rolled my eyes.You have got to be kidding me.

"Look,you're famous."He laughed.

"Ha"I got up and went to get a snack.I need to shower but Im so lazy.I just wanna eat.

I turned around to get my phone when I saw Every staring at my ass.

I raised my eyebrows.

He grinned."Whats up?"

"Oh,you know whats up."I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Oh you know whats up"He mocked.

I gave him a blank stare.

He stared back. "Stop playing,you know you want me."

"But do I really want someone who is scared to be touched?"I blurted.

I could see the light dim from Everett's eyes.

"Every,Im sorry-"

"No,its cool.It was a joke.It was funny.Really. Im not scared."He looked so down. Am I missing something?

I walked over to him and sat down.

"What arent you telling me?"I asked.

He shook his head,laughing."Nothing, City.Nothing."

I held his face in my hands."Look at me."

Everett eyes started to well up.

"What happened to you?"
