Chapter 10: A wolf on a date

I opened my eyes and looked over at my clock, 7:30 am. I got out of bed then went to my closet to get something nice to wear, as I was looking I found a yellow dress, I took it out then put it on. Once I got dress I put on a yellow flower headband then got a yellow purse to match. After I finished with my outfit I put on some light make up then I looked at the clock, 9:00 am. I have an hour to wait, so I went to the kitchen and got some ice cream then I went to the living room and sat on the couch to watch some TV. An hour passed and I heard a knock at the door, I got up to answer it and when I opened it I saw Grayson smiling at me, then he said "wow, you look amazing Lily" I blushed then I took notice of what he is wearing, a dark blue dress shirt and brown dress pants. I smiled my blush now gone and said "thanks" he put his hand out for me to take it, witch I did and we were off. We walked around town until we were in the woods, I was confused so I asked "hey Grayson, where are we going?" he looked at me and smiled "you'll see" we continued to walk when we came to a clearing where a blanket was set up with a basket in the middle of it. Grayson smiled then lead me over to the blanket then he said "do you like it?" "like it? I love it!" I smiled at him and he smiled back, he then took some food, drinks and treats, and put them on the blanket. As we were eating we talked about school, how nice the weather is and how lovely the woods are. All was quite until Grayson spoke "so are you having fun so far?" "yeah, I can't believe you did this. It's wonderful" he smiled and I smiled back. We went on to talk for a little bit more then Grayson asked "do you want to go for a walk?" "sure" with that said we got up to walk around the woods. We walked for about two hours until we came to a small lake with a waterfall, it was beautiful. I smiled as I watched the waterfall then we both sat down and Grayson said "hey Lily, what kind of things did you do when you were a kid?" I looked at him then spoke "well, I would sing and dance with my mom, have race's with my dad, play dolls with Kayla and run for my life" he blinked a couple times before asking "why run for your life?" "my parents were hunters remember, so I was a target for a little until my parents died and I got some of their friends to say I was dead then they stopped coming after me" he looked shocked but who wouldn't be? then I said "Grayson, could you tell me about your past? you know a lot about me, so it's only fair if you tell me more about you" "um... ok why not, you make a good point. Where would you like me to start?" "with the basics please" he nodded then said "let's see, my name is Grayson Wolf, I'm the wolf prince of the kingdom of Wolfame, I was born March 19, 1847 and my friends call me wolf boy" "your a prince too?" he nodded then I said "what about your past?" "well, I lived with my mom, dad and older brother James, but one day James and I were out in the woods when a group of demons came, James hid me under a tree in a small hole, but James didn't make it and he died saving my life" "I'm sorry to hear that" "it's ok, at least I have great memories of him" "what was he like?" "he made sure I was safe, when I was sad he did whatever he could to make me laugh and he was always there for me no matter what" "he sounds great, I wish I could have met him" "so do I, he would have loved you" I smiled then we got up and walked out of the woods. We walked until we got to my house, I walked to the door and turned around to look at Grayson "I had a great day, thanks Grayson" he smiled then pulled me into a hug and he said "it was nothing, I'd do anything for you" a small blush formed on my face as he pulled away from each other and I turned around to unlock the door, but before I could go in Grayson grabbed my arm, turned me around then kissed me right on the lips, my eyes were wide then he pulled away with a smile and said "see you soon Lily" then he ran e. As I snapped out of being surprised, I went to go inside and as I opened the door I heard a howl in the distance, I smiled then went inside. Once I went in I went upstairs to my room, put on my nightgown, took out my journal, sat at the end of my bed, opened it to a clean page and wrote.
Dear Mom and Dad
    Today I had my date with Grayson and it was amazing, we went in the woods and had a picnic then we went for a walk to a waterfall, it was beautiful. I learned that just like Derek, Grayson is a prince and he had an older brother who died saving his life, I feel bad for him. I should go I have another date tomorrow with Archer, so until next time

I put my journal away, turned out the lights, got into bed and went to sleep thinking about what will happen tomorrow.
