Your P.O.V.

As I feel the hands gently grip my waist from behind, hardly touching me at all and almost hovering over each of my hips, I nervously grip my spatula tighter, with my now sweaty palms and jittery nerves and gasp the quietest shock I could and as I hear a whisper in my right ear, I swear I could almost hear the amused smirk in their tone, "... Hungry?" I spun around to face them and pull backwards as far back from them as I could, my back now pressed against the counter as I start to swing the spatula-- then freeze. "OHMYGOD who the fu--!?" I lower my spatula and my terrified expression quickly fades to a now flustered, yet angry blush... "...Virgil?!" he steps back from me, with that same irritating smug smirk on his face as always, as he looks me up and down for a moment, before saying in a mocking baby voice tone, "Aww, Did I scare the little sneaky, fake liar while she was trying to steal some of thomas's food? I'm sowwy..." he sarcastically pinched his cheeks at the end whilst giving me a glare that was burning with sarcasm. I quickly snap my whispered response in urgency "--Shh! Pipe down or you'll w--"
"--or I'll what?" he cuts me off, hardly whispering at all, "Wake up Thomas and the others and tell them about your nasty little secret?"
I angrily grip the spatula tighter and wave it in his face as I try and lighten the tension of the conversation,
"You know, you're lucky I didn't hit you in the face with this spatula just now," I forced a smile as I spoke. He rolls his eyes and scoffs at me as he walks back into the living room and leans against the banister, as he replied blatantly whilst looking down, picking at his cuticles in a nonchalant manner, "--Actually, no. You're lucky you didn't hit me in the face with that spatula just now." I rolled my eyes, ignoring his comment, before he then added, while still not raising his gaze, "It would not have ended well for you if you would have," I replied quickly and less quiet, now annoyed with his sarcastic tone  "Ugh, okay. Listen mister 'sneaky spy boy'... First of all, you don't even know me or why I am keeping that from Thomas to begin with, and second of all... How the hell did you even know where to find us?" he looks up at me for a moment, as his smile faded slightly, his response in a whisper now, "Simple, after your little, awkward phone call with your little twirly buddy, when you went in the shower upstairs, I snuck into your room, went on your phone and saw that she'd texted you the address to the nightclub." his carefree and calm tone as he said this simply baffled me,
How did he just admit to me that he snuck on my phone and looked through my texts in such a calm and fucking careless manner?! I shake off the thought and squint my eyes at him in disbelief as I respond in a flustered confusion "B-but how did you even know that you'd find the address on there?!" he shrugged his shoulders as he pulled his hoodie over his head "Everyone knows that basic white girl best friends will share any and all information via text with eachother whenever they get the chance to." I stare at him for long moment in silence, still baffled.
Before I finally gathered enough sense back to respond, "Are you implying that me and my friends are what you consider to be 'basic white girl's ?"
he slowly raises his gaze to mine as he chuckles his response, "Well, am I wrong?" I clench my fist around the spatula once more in utter frustration as I gritted my teeth and inhaled and exhaled to attempt to calm my response "Yes. Yes you are--" he clears his throat and cuts me off before I get the chance to continue "Oh really? How so? Let me see, basic white girls... Lie to friends? Check.
Use their friends, check. Fake their sweet, innocent personality to cover their tracks, check. All of there little clique participate in their secretive activities, check check checkity CHECK. Now tell me... What was I wrong about?"  I was now infuriated, his face now painted with a sick grin, though as much as I'd love nothing better then to start a full fledged argument with Virgil at this moment... I couldn't. I needed to kiss up to him as much as I possibly could, especially now that he knew about me dancing.
I calmed all of my anger and replied in a frustrated sigh "... Look. As much as I'm enjoying this little 'self esteem trampling' chit chat we've been having, I really need to talk to you, seriously..." I gestured towards the couch as he rolled his eyes and hesitantly sat next to me. "I already know what you're going to say, I know I may just look like a careless, miserable emo, but I'm not stupid. "
My gaze shifts from my fidgeting hands up to his as I reply abruptly, "You do? Well, what was I going to say then?" he smirks once more as he lifts his feet to the nearby coffee table and leans back on the couch, now slouching lazily "You were about to beg me to keep my mouth shut about your stupid little secret from Thomas." I barge in as I respond defensively, "--I don't know about "beg" but uh, more or less... ask what it'd take to, uh... Not bring it up..."
I accidentally let a quiet nervous laugh slip out as virgil responds soon after "Soooo beg?" I roll my eyes in annoyance and look at him with a serious gaze "So? Will you?" Virgil turns the TV on as he begins watching some foreign sitcom I've never seen before and responds obliviously, "Will I what?" I groan in even more annoyance as I repeat once more in desperation "Will you keep it from Thomas?" he lowers the TV volume as he then turns to me with a serious expression and snaps a calm yet stern response "Look sweetheart. I'm just here to protect Thomas because he can be a bit too... Well, obliviously nice to people, and most of the time... People take advantage of him for it. That is, unless I warn him about them before things get too far out of hand. After all, I am anxiety. That's what I do." his tone became very grim as he spoke that last part. As I fidgeted in my seat for a moment I swallowed a nervous pulse of uncomfortable tension that began to rise up in my throat, as I also tried to calm my now shaky hands by sitting on them as I leaned back onto the couch further, "I'm not taking advantage of Thomas, he's gotten me out of situations I could've died in had he not have intervened, I would never want to do anything to hurt Thomas, this is just a harmless little secret that I need you to keep from him so it doesn't ruin our friendship... please?" he glanced over at me with a look of what seemed to be either pity or distrust, as he then responded plainly and with a scoff, while watching TV  "Ha, yeah. Well, hate to break it to ya but every other massive, world famous secret and lie known to man also started out as a 'harmless little secrets too and besides, if it's such a harmless little secret why would it be such a big deal if I just told Thomas about it, hmm?" his gaze strayed from the TV back to me for a moment as I hesitated to respond. When finally, in a huff of anger and complete surrender to his witty torture of a conversation,
I replied as I gripped my hair with both of my hands tightly, and snapped through an angered sigh "You know what? Fine. What is it going to take to make you keep your fat mouth shut about this whole thing?" I saw a crack of a smile grow onto his expression as he continued to stare at the TV, "So, now you're bribing me to keep things from Thomas, huh?" That's it, I have had it with this guy playing bad cop good cop with me. Suddenly,
I gently, yet angrily grabbed his shoulders and turned him towards me in a fit of anger and snapped a response to him as I scooted back to my end of the couch "Listen Mr guilt tripping wizard, you and me both know you're not as good hearted about this, "situation" as you profess to be. So what'll it be?" he looked at me with no emotion for a long moment, and just as my angry expression began to fade and I began to feel visibly uncomfortable, he let that crack of a smirk return to his face as he folded his arms and said in a tease, "You know, you're smarter then you look." he scooted towards me in a tease as I rolled my eyes at him in frustration once more and said as I scooted further away from him "haha. Very funny Mr villain, So? Uh, Are you gonna shut up or not?" he raised his hands above his head as he states plainly, with a sarcastic eye roll and a dramatic sigh, "Okay, fine. I'll shut up..." I let out a sudden squeak of excitement and relief before he can continue speaking, as I bounce up to my feet from the couch and begin to mumble some happy thoughts to myself aloud, and just as I begin to respond with a thank you to Virgil, he then raises his index finger to me and adds, "... At a cost." My joyous grin quickly disappears as I mumble quietly "... Oooooofffff course." I sigh in a crippling frustration and say as I raise my gaze to his once more "What's the catch, now Mr villain?"
He smirks at me as he rises to his feet, and begins to slowly wander towards the staircase, as he halts for only a mere blink and he gently pokes the tip of my nose and says "Simple. You do what I say for the remaining duration of your stay here... Aaaannnnd you can't tell Thomas, nor any of the other sides about it... And neither can any if your little twirling buddies. Deal? Good." he continued up the stairs in a rhythmic and clearly amused pace, as I stood at the base of the stairs, dumbfounded, my jaw hanging open as if I were a puppet. Well... Now,
I guess I kinda was.

After nearly ten seconds of standing at the base of the stairs in shock, I finally snapped back into reality and quietly sprinted up the stairs behind him, and just as I reached the top of the stairs I saw Virgil's bedroom door begin to close, I leaped to my feet and sprinted to his door, as I grasped the door and pulled on it to keep it from closing any further, I saw Virgil peer over the small opening between the door and the wall as he mumbled, now irritated "What?" I panted my response out of breath from the sudden burst of energy I had just drained from my body, "you expect me... to do whatever the hell you say... and be perfectly okay with that?" he opened the door wider as he stood with his hands on his hips and replied mockingly, "Aaaand you expect me to lie to Thomas who is the only reason that I exist as well as all of the other sides of him to simply spare a pointless friendship of his... And be perfectly okay with that?" I sigh and look down at my feet as I shake my head in frustration, "Grrr... Ugh! Ya know what? Fine. Just-- fine." I glare at him, before he responds with a fake at smile I've ever seen "Glad we could agree." and with that, he slammed the door in my face, and I went back to bed thinking to myself

Worst midnight snack I ever had.
