ethans pov
i approached the library door, hearing quiet sobs coming from the other side of it, i attempted to open the door,
locked
"go away." the tired voice pleaded from the other side of the door
"baby?" i said softly
"ethan?" i immediately knew who was on the other side of the library door, i didn't care about damaging school property, at this point i just needed to get to my princess
"baby, i'm coming ok." i said softly. "back away from the door for me."
i heard shuffling and assumed she moved
i took 3 big steps back and pushed my left shoulder into the library door, it budged but didn't open, i tried again, with more force.
the door buckled and opened the double doors slamming against the wall behind them
"baby." i saw riah sitting in a corner not far from where i was, she was crying
as i approached her she began sobbing harder.
"hey, hey," i began softly, "what's wrong princess, are you hurt?" i asked worry laced through my voice
her voice came out as a whisper. "i'm fine." she said wiping a couple fresh tears off of her rosy cheeks
"baby not you're not, please tell me what happened." i pleaded for her to tell me what happened to her and why she was in the library in the first place
"ethan, i said i'm fine!" she got up and tried walking away but i refused to let her walk away
i grabbed onto her wrist and turned her around
"ethan ow, you're hurting me!" she shouted in anguish.
i looked to her wrists and my eyes went wide, the nail prints were fresh
"riah," i began in all seriousness, "did someone just do this to you?" i asked getting angry at the thought of someone touching or harming her in that way.
"no, it's nothing." she said dropping her head and attempting to walk away again
i caught up with her before she left the library and closed the doors. i approached my broken princess.
i wrapped my arms around her waist and bought her head to my chest. quiet sobs began leaving her mouth.
i sat down bringing her to sit with me, she winced in pain i observed the fresh nail prints in her wrists.
"baby who did this?" i spoke in a whisper
"i can't tell you, they'll release the footage." she replied, fresh tears filling the brim of her lower lash-line
"footage?" i asked angrily flaring my nostrils and clenching my jaw. "not only did they do this to you but they recorded it too?"
her head dropped, nodding faintly
i bought her back into my arms, telling her everything'll be alright
"don't worry princess, i'll handle this."
i told cris and jas i was taking riah home, i didn't tell them anything, not because riah asked me not to, but because when the time is right she'll tell them, they'd wanna hear it from her.
as we drove home my hand held hers, squeezing it occasionally
she had dozed off in the car so i bought her inside and took off her makeup and put her in pajamas, all the while she was still asleep.
i didn't want her to wake up alone, so i slept in my underwear and spooned her as i dozed off.
