Telling Our Friends - Chapter 11

Sam's p.o.v

Today was the day, we were heading back to la. Colby had been feeling better except for the argument with his dad. He loves his dad but he can't accept us being together.

We were packing our suitcases and I looked over at Colby, he looked pretty upset.

"We don't have to go back just yet, y'know" I said and he sat on the bed

"No we need to go back, the guys will be wondering what's going on and the fans will be going crazy" he said not really happy about it

"But you're da...." he cut me off

"If he wants to be an asshole, then let him" he said now sounding angry

I had never heard Colby that angry before.

"I don't care" he continued

"But you do" I said sitting next to him with my arm around him,comforting him.

He smiled "you make me so happy" he said and I felt like I had won the lottery

"You make me happy too" I said looking deep into his eyes, we were about to kiss when my sister walked

"Oh god, I'm sorry. Mom said if you want breakfast before you go it's on the table" she said making us all feel a little awkward.

Colby's P.O.V

We had just left Sam's house and we were headed to the airport, our Uber drove passed my house and I felt a little sad about the way my dad had treated both me and sam, I always thought he had my back.

We got on the plane and before we knew it we were in lax, sam had text Aaron to see if he could pick us up. He agreed.

"Hey" Aaron said as we got in the car, sam sat in the front and I got in the back

"Hi Aaron, how's everything ?" Sam asked as I couldn't bring myself to speak.

"Good, how are you Colby ?" He asked while keeping his eyes on the road

"What ??" I questioned cause to be honest I wasn't listening

"I asked how you were ?" He said repeating his previous question

"Yeah fine. Thanks" i said that was all I could say In that moment.

After that awkward drive we arrived back at the house, all the roommates were stood outside with our friend Jake.

We got out the car and Elton suggested a welcome home party, I wasn't up for it but all the other roommates and jake were psyched. So we decided to do it.

* 4 hours Later *

The party was in full swing, every friend I had in la was here. Drinking, dancing and genuinely having fun.

I found sam and pulled him to one side.

"We need to talk" I told him and he followed me to the restroom with all the mirrors.

"What's going on ?" He asked me

"I want to tell everyone" I said not wanting to wait any longer.

"What now ?" He asked

"Yes now, come on, let's tell them" I said grabbing his hand a dragging him out the door.

The music was so loud I stood on the kitchen counter and broke a glass to get everyone's attention but that didn't work so sam turned off the music and I shouted for everyone to listen.

"I have something I need to say" I said still stood on the counter sam was now stood by my side but on the floor

"About time" elton said as I hadn't spoke much since I got back

"Right shut up uncle Elton, I need to tell you all I am now in a relationship but it's not that simple, me and sam here are together" I said waiting for them all to laugh or tell me we were wrong

"That's cool" said Aaron

"I'm happy for you guys" said devyn

"Yeah that's wonderful" said jake smiling

"About time" said uncle Elton again

"That's great dude" said Brennen

"Yeah it's great" said kat who was stood in the corner with a drink I suddenly got down as sam walked over to speak to her. I walked over to them.

"I'm sorry kat, I had no idea you were even here" I said and sam gave me a funny look.

"It's fine Colby, I mean you had to tell people at some point" she said sounding so understanding
