It was probably a quarter after two in the morning. It was probably the twentieth cigarette between her lips. And she lost count on the vodka shots. None of this were making her feel more sleepy, tho.

She let go of deep breath and caught a book to read. No, her mind was racing way too much for this. She tried to scroll down her social media on her phone but her brain wasn't buying it too. She sighed again and came back to watch the city by her room balcony, the cars in the streets carrying on all different kinds of people, of stories, of experiences, of life.

But anxiety kept growing up on her chest.

She could call Priscilla or Keila, but she had already annoyed them way too much lately.

She thought by a moment that this was starting to get into a kinda unhealthy coping mechanism, but so was all of the shit she'd done all through the night. So she just grabbed her phone and started tapping the number while going out of the house - one of the fill girls who could get into her twice.

"Marceline?" Said a sweet, sleepy voice on the other side.

"The one and only" she said, tease all over her voice, already expecting what was about to happen. "Get your sexy ass out of bed and come meet me at the club. It'll be open... Only for you and me."

"It's almost three in the morning" the other girl (what is her name by the way? Katia... Kelly... Kitty. Her name is Kitty) said softly on the other side, clearly trying to play hard on her.

"I'll make it worth it, sweetheart. Now get read and come to meet your queen, yes?"

"Fine," Kitty answered, laughing "meet you in a fifteen minutes".

"Wearing nice underwear, please" Marceline mumbled between a laugher, hanging up.

She couldn't shut up the voices on her head, but she pretty much could make a girl moan louder than them.

The party was going on all blast for way too much time now for her taste. The music was too loud and the teens were way too drunk and she wasn't exactly comfortable with any of that, but that was one of her best friend's party afterwards, she couldn't just go.

She was sat on one couch chatting with Lucia about one random girl on their math classes when Jake showed up, throwing himself on the couch between them.

"What are y'all doing here while everyone is enjoying themselves out there in the pool?" he said to they both, but smiling more to Lucia (of course).

"You know I don't really like being around drunk kids close of the pool. They might have me drowned" she said, shrugging kindly and getting a bit of pink hair behind her ear.

"You basically don't like to be around people, Zanne" Lucy said, rolling her eyes playfully, but even tho this sent her gut something that seemed like a punch.

"Leave Bonnibel alone, you annoying thing" Jake said hitting his knee on hers, making she laugh. "She's right after all, people can be very annoying".

"Thank you very much for the consideration" Bonnie said, her time to playful roll her eyes now, making them all laugh.

"Y'ALL BETTER BRING YOU ASSES TO PLAY 'TWO TRUTHS ONE LIE' AROUND THE POOL" Finn screamed, showing up suddenly on the backyard door, clearly way too wasted.

"How much did he drink?" Said Bonnie, looking kinda scared at him.

"Enough" Jake said, clearly not as worried about his brother as he should to be. "Let's go, ladies, the party is calling!"

Bonnie almost started to complain, but instead she just got up and went after them. Once outside, she was rounded by cheerleaders and football players, all the 'cool kids' and also some of the less fortunate all around her, craving a bit of her attention. She had it all: the right friends, the right pretty face, the right spot on the top of the formation on the cheerleaders performances - so much she didn't even needed the football player boyfriend to be under the highlights. What didn't kept each one of them to try and be there with her.

It was incredible how all that people could know her and no one really knew her.

How the music was so loud and she felt all so drown in silence.

How she was surrounded by people and felt so alone.
