Keila knew very well it wouldn't make any difference, but she made a annoyed face anyways as soon as Marceline brought one more cigarette to her lips.

"That shit is going to kill you" she mumbled, trying to hide how much it worried her.

"Ain't that the fucking intention?" Marceline answered, laughing in a low tune, lifting her head so she could blow the smoke to the sky.

She didn't saw the hurt expression on her friend's face.

"I can't believe this. I just can't believe. I really can't believe that -" Priscilla showed up, overtalking as soon as she reached her friends, being dryly cut off by Marceline.

"You can't believe Brad is shoving his dick in someone else's pussy. Again. We know" she said, rolling her eyes.

"Can you be a little bit more considerate of my problems? Like, just for once? Please?" Priscilla said, letting her shoulder fall in frustration. She gave Keila a look that meant 'gimme a hand here please' but the other girl just shrugged.

Marceline let go of a deep breath and stepped in the half smoked cigarette before answering.

"You deserve better than that asshole. You deserve better than men, to be more specific. But you'll not listen to me so nevermind." She said, getting up from where she was sat and heading up to the school building.

They were walking back inside after had killed time at lunch in the school garden, under the big trees where no one could see Marcy smoking, when Marshall and their friends Bender Goodier (also known as Bongo) and Guy Holden reached them half way to the doors.

"Haven't seen you in a while, dear queen!" Bongo said to Marceline, making the girl give a big smile up to him before hugging the boy.

"Bongo! I thought for a second you were going to abandon us. You haven't been around since the school began!"

"Nah, I would never. I just got unlucky enough to get sick just before school started. Now I have lots of late homework" the boy answered, facepalming at the thought as the friends laughed.

"Silly you" Marceline said as they walked into the school. More than her friends, those guys where her band: Marshall Lee and Keila Mills at the guitars, Priscilla at the drums, Bongo on the keyboards, Guy and her at the bass guitar, and her at the vocals. They used to play since kids and now their shit was serious, they wanted to work with music and all.

She was enjoying a rare good mood until she saw who was walking on their direction, nose in the air, as if the ground she stepped belonged only to her.

Ugh.

"Uh excuse me, can we talk?" Bonnibel asked, looking uncomfortably to Marceline, letting her eyes softly go from her to her friends.

"What do you want, princess? I'm kinda busy now" she said, annoyance all over her voice.

"Uh it's your free class, if I'm not wrong" Bonnibel said, half-closed eyes and crossed arms to Marceline.

"What the fuck is that, are you stalking me?" The other girl said, clearly offended at the thought of that pink thing looking on her classes' schedule.

"I'm the class' president, I know almost everybody schedules, Marceline" she said bored, looking down to one of her pale pink painted nails, "and it's something of your interest. Of the LGBTQ+ kids interest".
