Karina's POV
Hello everyone, my name is Karina Torres and I am Raf Esquivel's older cousin. On his mother's side. My parents died in a cave in when they were exploring a new archaeological site. So now I leave with my aunt, uncle and little cosine Raf. I also have a piece of the cave that killed my parents. As a reminder and a protection from the same thing happening to me. I sometimes feel like my parents are still with me when I wear it. The gem is a blue crystal that glows occasionally. When I first touched it, it shocked me. Now it gives me warmth and comfort.
Anyway I am in my room listening to the new Skillet album when Raf knocks on the door. "What is it?" I ask him.
"I want to go play, but mum says you have to come with me" he states.
"Fine, let me put my shows on" I tell him. We go to adry drainage canal and he takes out his radio controlled car. While he plays with it I read a new story on Wattpad, called 'Other New Girl: Twilight'.
(Hour later)
Raf is still playing with his car and I'm listening to some music. "So excited to start school?" he asks me.
"School's school" I say shrugging and my phone starts to ring. I look at the screen to see it's my aunt, Raf's mum. "What's up Aunty?" I ask when I answer it.
"I thought you guys were just going out to play, where are you?" she demands.
"Not far, just up the street. Raf's racing, we'll be back soon" I assure her before hanging him. "Five more minutes, then we return to your house" I tell Raf. He nods his head and makes the car move again. Just then a seventeen year old on a motor bike flew over our heads. "Hey, watch it!" I shout.
"Whoa" Raf says dropping his remote.
"You have no idea" the teen says getting off of the bike. I grab Raf's backpack as the teen walks over. Suddenly we hear two car engines reeving and look up to see twin cars.
"Friends of yours?" I ask the teen as I back away from the approaching cars keeping Raf close. The cars suddenly transforms and my necklace glows. Suddenly the bike the teen was on transforms.
"This ends here, cons" she states. She then starts to fight the other two robots, she called cons.
"What are they?" Raf asks aloud.
"Talking cars that turn into robots" the teen states.
"Or the other way around" I add. Just then a black and yellow muscle car appeared. As the female bot was knocked on her arseIt transformed and stepped on Raf's toy car. He beeps apologetically.
"No problem, really" Raf assures him. But one of the cons shoot the distracted beeping robot. "Leave him alone!" Raf shouts getting the cons attention.
"Not a bright idea cuz" I tell him.
"Please" he whispers as one of the con's approaches us powering up his weapon.
