A week after

Me and Laurence were finally together,no more being secretive, well not as secretive as we were.

Laurence would tease me more, little looks, adding extra breaths to his singing,it was distracting I must admit ,he seemed more confident, happy, even the piano seemed relieved to not being bashed on in frustration.

Adam, however didn't seem impressed,he seemed more on edge.

That Monday morning Adam was incredibly irritated from walking in the door which he slammed on entrance, making me jump.

'Right!' His usually soft voice rough and aggressive 'We have a lot of work to do today,we need to make sure this place is clean and pristine,we have a huge party coming in tonight and we need to be presentable'

'but Adam there's-' I begin to say but he cuts me off.

'I need to talk to you later ' He snaps walking into his office slamming the door.

Laurence walks in to see my face confused and drained of colour.

'darling? Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost' he says walking over to me.

I shake my head 'yeah I'm fine, just lack of sleep'

Laurence looks at me with concern but decided not to pry further.

I walk over to the cupboard to grab the brush and dust pan and begin to sweep up the bits of broken glass and dust from underneath the chairs and tables.

As I'm sweeping I feel two hands slip around my back and land on my  waist causing my to shiver as they trace my hips.

'i missed you last night darling' Laurence whispers in my ear.

'laurence' I mutter my breath hitching slightly. 'i-i-i need to uh clean up' I stutter out.

'but there's no one here,we could have some fun of our own,i really doubt that there's  a party coming in we don't do them' he says trying to kiss me but I push him away.

'Laurence,please this isn't the time' I snap

Laurence looks at me with pain in his eyes before masking it with confusion.

'sorry I'll just be cleaning the stage' He says walking away looking like a dog with his tail between his legs.

I sigh opening my mouth to apologize but I think against it and just continue sweeping.

Around 2 hours later I finish cleaning and get called into Adams office.

I walk in sitting down waiting for Adam to take his place behind his desk.
I hear the door click.
He locked it.

I try to stay calm knowing Adam wouldn't try anything, Laurence promises he wouldn't.

'so Adam, what did you want to talk about?' I say wringing my hands as calm as I can.

'you and Laurence are'he pauses clasping his hands together
'a thing I'm guessing'

'y-y-yeah he's my boyfriend has been for about a week now' I say nervously blushing trying not to make eye contact.

'that would explain the inappropriate behaviour that has been going on' Adam says looking very serious.

I look down embarrassed.

'both in and out of my presence,it's highly unprofessional and to say the least embarrassing' he says rubbing his forehead 'customers are noticing' he says looking nervous suddenly, his eyes shifting across me.

' the customers seem quite accepting of it Adam, however how do you feel about it though? Do you have an issue with it?' I stand ready to defend my Laurence when Adam says something unexpectedly.

'the only issue I have is that it isn't me' he mutters.

I look at him in disbelief

'you're jealous of Laurence, you can't be fucking serious Adam you barely know me' I shout kicking the chair from behind me.

'oh for god's sake drew you've known Laurence the same amount of time but you're all over him like a desperate little puppy' He snaps walking towards me

'I'm not doing this shit' I say going to walk out.

'Drew I'm sorry please, let me explain' Adam says grabbing my hand.

'No,now unlock the FUCKING DOOR!' I say 'or I'll fucking jump out of the window and you can explain why to my boyfriend Laurence' I threaten him angrily.

He sighs unlocking the door and letting me out.

I storm out, Laurence says something to me but Ignore it and continue out making sure the door slams behind me.

This is such bullshit.
