Christian smiled as he and Hannah walked hand-in-hand around Estes Park—Hannah's favourite Colorado mountain town. They were doing a family hike around the lake. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining down brightly making the lake sparkle.

"I love you," Hannah said softly and rest her head on his shoulder.

"I love you too," Christian kissed her forehead as Hannah grabbed his forearm with her other hand.

Christian's heart was racing as he felt the small black box in his pocket. He was incredibly nervous. He was so ready to propose and knew what the answer would be, but that didn't mean he wasn't still nervous. He squeezed her hand twice and smiled at her as they kept walking.

Their friends and family chattered around them. DeeDee and Maggie were talking with Alivia, Hannah's niece. His dad, Tim, and Jacob, Hannah's nephew, were deep in discussion about football. His mom and Chase were talking about their dog.

It wasn't long before they made it to the scenic part end of the hike with a gorgeous view of a mountain valley. Christian's heart began to race even faster than before.

"Let's take a couple cute pictures!" Christian smiled.

"I love you," Hannah grinned.

"And I you," he took a deep breath.

He held Hannah's hand as she walked a little bit in front of him. He took the box out of his pocket as she walked and got down on one knee. He dropped her hand like he did after he took the picture. Hannah turned around excited to see the picture he had taken.

"Ohmygod," she gasped when she saw him grinning at her on one knee.

"Hannah, baby, I love you so much. We got off to an interesting start when I spilled soda on you, and all the guys gave me a hard time. You laughed it off like it wasn't any big deal. After our first date, I knew I wanted you to be my girlfriend, and fortunately for me, you felt the same way. You're such an amazing woman. You're so strong. You're the strongest person I know. You're my entire world. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Hannah Rose Bedal, will you marry me?"

"YES YES YES YES!" Hannah yelled crying.

She launched herself at him, gently knocking him back on his back. Christian chuckled and hugged her tightly. He sat them back up and took the ring out of the box.

"It's engraved," he said softly.

Hannah looked and smiled, "our names and anniversary!"

"Yeah. Do you like it?"

"I love it!" She smiled as he slid the ring on her finger, "and I love you," she tossed her arms around his neck and leaned in for a kiss.

Christian wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer as they kissed. He pulled away and gently brushed a few strands of hair away from her face. He gently rubbed her cheek.

"YAY CONGRATULATIONS!" DeeDee's voice sounded a couple of seconds before the two of them were tackled.

"Oof!" Christian grunted.

Hannah started laughing as more and more people tackled them. When Christian looked around, he saw DeeDee, Maggie, Chase, Alivia, and Jacob on top of them. He laughed too as they all hugged.

"Congratulations!" Tim walked over and helped him and Hannah up.

"Thank you!" Hannah turned and hugged her brother tightly.

"Welcome to the family," his dad smiled warmly at her.

"Thank you!" She went over and hugged him and his mom.

"You've been family. Congrats man," Tim smiled warmly and hugged Christian.

"Thank you, Tim," he smiled and hugged him back.

"WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!" Hannah yelled excitedly making everyone laugh.

"Yeah, baby girl, we are."
