Chapter 16: WARM

The cold night wind was blowing on my face and messing my hair but I love how it feels. It was my first time riding a convertible car, so Hal couldn't blame me for raising my hand like a kid and feel the cold air.

"Does this cost all of your pearls?" I asked and Hal smiled. I always find his smile nice.

"Maybe." He said.

I forgot that I have one of those pearls and I was planning on letting it checked if it was really genuine or not. I was so freaking curious.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I watched the scene outside, passing fast since Hal was driving a little faster.

"Bridge."

**

I kept on passing that bridge on my way outside the city but I never thought of stopping and took in the night view. It felt like a new place and the wind was kind of strong and the most beautiful scene there was the sea that reflects all the different colors of the city lights in the area. I never thought it was that good.

I felt a wave of nostalgia as I stared down but I still love looking at the water and I never know why, maybe because it remind me of a distant memory or something.

"I like looking at the water." I said.

"Same." He said and looking at it, it reminds me of my strange dream and I really want to know why does it kept on repeating.

"Have you ever experienced dreaming the same dream for days?" I asked and I didn't know why I felt like telling him. Not even Albert knew about it.

Hal looked at me and too bad I couldn't see the color of his eyes since it was dark. "No, but I keep on dreaming the same person."

"Oh. Who?" I turned my attention back to the post card scenery in front of me and hugged myself because it was getting colder.

"I don't know."

"I also dreamed a face of the same person but I can't recognize that person. It's blurry."

"Really."

I nodded. "At the same place. In an ocean."

"Maybe it's trying to say something."

"I don't know." I leaned closer to the railings and I shivered when the cold wind blew again.

I jumped when something warm was wrapped around me from behind. I thought it was just a jacket but a set of arm suddenly wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to a warm body.

It made my heart beats like crazy from that sudden move and I didn't want to push him away because it was getting so comfortable and warm inside.

"What are you doing?" I asked and tried to wiggle myself free. It looked so strange seeing two guys hugging each other in that kind of way but I wasn't even trying hard to get away from him.

"Warming you." He said.

"What if someone sees us?" I was even more concerned if someone who knows us see what we were doing, a guy hugging me so tight.

"No one will recognize us." He said and I felt his warm breath on the back of my ear sending me shivers. A very odd kind of shiver.

I could feel him smelling my hair making me moved my head to the side.

"Don't smell my hair."

The beating of my heart was echoing inside my ears and I didn't know how to calm it down.

"Your hair smells good."

"It doesn't."

We stayed still in that position and I tried to calm myself down making me realized that my body was so stiff. I closed my eyes for a few seconds. It felt so natural being there, inside his arms. I squeezed my eyes and tried not to think of things.

I forgot about the beautiful scenery before us and all my attention was to Hal. All I could feel was him behind me and my mind was debating what kind of feeling I was feeling right this time. It was so strange being so comfortable in a man's embrace, just thinking about it made me cringe.

"I know somewhere where you can enjoy the ocean than just staring at it." He said after a few minutes of silence and being comfortable with each other.

"Really? Where?" I didn't move and just stayed frozen in place.

"My place. You can say that the ocean is my backyard."

I snapped my head trying to look at him. "Wow!" I half exclaimed. I always wanted to go to the ocean and not just some over crowded beach and all along it was just in Hal's backyard.

"You're not kidding, right?"

"Of course, not." Hal chuckled right on my ear and I didn't know what it was but I didn't want to name the feeling. "How about I'll take you there someday? If you want to."

I turned around facing him and nodded my head excitedly. "Of course, I want to."

Hal smiled and let go of me as he checked his phone. "Are you hungry?" He asked as he took his coat off and I felt my cheeks heating up when Hal placed it around my back warming me.

I didn't feel hungry until Hal asked.

"Kind of." I said.

Hal pulled me with him to his car and I didn't protest. I just let him dragged me. "Where do you want to eat?" He asked.

"I got to choose the place?"

"Yes."

I thought of a good place to eat and there was this place that serves the food that I was craving to eat this time.

"You won't mind eating pizza for dinner, right?" I asked when we arrived at the place where he parked his car.

"No."
