Set me free from this society,
Because why is it normal for me to hate my life than it is to love my soul?Even if I am living it an inch from the breadline.
Yet it feels like a deadline.I say what's on my mind.
Even if it changes all the time.
Although it is set on a line.
The line of freedom. What do you see?
Do you see people set free?
Or just kept on a leash.
So we can be conformed
Into the mold.
They tell us we can have treasures untold
Honestly I rather just fold.Could you ever save a soul?
Even if you weren't told.
Could you?
I wish I was just set free,
From the normalization,
Of hate and fear.
That was seared until we feared
What we couldn't see.Set me free,
From this sea,
Of hate stacked against me.Set me free,
So I can just be.
Don't you see?
I don't want to live my life,
Reading from your script,
Or singing your song,
Or dancing to your beat.Fuck this.
Don't make me repeat.
I will not take a seat.Perfection is a perception.
It's a lie.
Everything may be a lie now.
Just set me free.
Even if you don't except me,
Don't then expect me
to conform to these lies.
We all need to be freed.
To be us.
I think it would save the rest of what of left of this generation.
