What are they?

Don't forget.
Never forget.
Shadows move when you forget.
Don't forgive it.

I can see them.
Dancing.
Running.
Following.

Faces pressed against glass panes.
Oh how I wish I forget their faces.

Crawling along the path.
At least it wasn't dark.

Running to the fire.
Why does it seem so dire?

My days is as tormented as my nights.
At least at night they can see my fright.
Yet in the day they'll see me fight.

Circling around,
Like dead sirens at sea.
I am tired of them calling to me.

Am I free?
What does this fucking mean?

Why can they only be seen by me?
Is it a calling?
Or a warning?

Long black hair.
Could I dare?

Dead purple eyes.
Could it be a lie?

Long maws.
This isn't no longer a draw.

Screaming songs.
Dancing.
Why is it causing me pain?

Waiting.
Watching.
Planning.
Plotting.

Thrashing.
Screaming.
I am now believing

Then,
Calm.

I think that is more frightening.
When they stand behind me.

I think they want something from me.
Yet I can't see why they chose me.

Can't you see?
We aren't free.

Music plays,
They aren't delayed.
To take delight.
In my fucking plight.
Can't see the light.

Running their hands across my faces,
They rip holes with they long claws.

Grabbing my jaw.
Lift me from the floor.
Then throw me at the door.

Their purple eyes burn into my head.
They aren't human bred.
Said to be dead.

What are they?

Their voices so hauntingly beautiful.
Their faces ready to eat me whole.
Why do I have to save my soul.

When death comes calling,
I'll already be six feet down.

There's no one coming,
And there's no way out.

Hands holding me down,
I'll hold my breath.
I know they can't kill me.

Knock and they'll clap back
