"Thousands of years ago, a great war was raging across the world. A war that was never dated in history.

Many people had already died during the first few weeks. After two years the gods decided that the war was to come to an end.

And so they granted one family a gift to stop the war. The family had for a long time failed to stop the war by themselves. And so the gift the gods gave them would overpower those who denied them peace.

They now had the power to turn into any animal their eyes had landed on, a power that would later be named shapeshifting.

The family brought peace to the world, and it stayed like that.

But the humans were greedy and soon sought the shapeshifting powers for themselves or for it to be destroyed forever.

The family didn't want any more death, so they went into hiding. Now the family is long forgotten, and their line almost gone because of hunters.

Only one is still left alive, hiding from hunters and never turning back into human form in fear of being discovered."
