That damm pink hedgehog! I had him where I wanted him, until she came along and got in my way

I was walking to the camp site I had set up a few days ago, Connor was there, Conner was my 19 year old brother

He was a navy blue hedgehog with grey bangs at the front, a scar ran through his left eye, he got that a few months ago when we were hunting a were wolf, he was wearing a red bandana our father gave him for his 6 birthday

" so did you get him?" He asked as he sat up looking at me

" no, some pink brat got in my way " I huffed, he rolled his eyes

" do you think it's the right thing to do? After all, the journal has him and Silver in it, they had never attacked or attempted to kill anyone " Connor asked

" yes, but we don't know that, plus that note at the bottom says to kill them at all costs, from our ancestor and their father, Jules the hedgehog " I replied as I sat down and began to set the fire up

I heard my brother sigh as he laid back down, boy was this going to be a long hunt

I had left a note on the bench under my phone, I had my cloak on and a bag on my back with the most relevant things I needed, the new moon shined down on me as I ran to the forest

I stopped at the edge of the forest and looked back, I left Tails in the custody of Knuckles, I abandoned Tails even when I promised never to leave his side

Why, why now, why not when Tails was old enough to live on his own for me to disappear into the night, I sigh to myself as I continued down my path

I was hunting for my dinner when a twig snapped, me thinking it was pray got ready to lunge

A figure came into view, wearing a black Cloak with a golden symbol around the collar, that's when I realised who it was, and I stepped out of my hiding place

" Sonic what are you doing out here?" I asked concerned

" Martha found me and Silver told me to leave a note for our friends and run " is what he said, and I knew why he was here

" ok, come on " I said as I lead him to my pack

" thank you Gadget " Sonic smiled as he walked next to me
