Truth and Lies

Fourteen

I sat quietly in my room as I played with the wooden toys my father had made for me, my brother and my sister

I sighed and lowered my ears, my brother had gone missing, father thinks he was killed by the monsters that lurk in the shadows of the moonlight

I miss him, mother is in the kitchen cooking food for the winter, well preserving what she can, we were outsiders in the village we live in, but they never acuse us of things we haven't done

They ask for help occasionally, and they pay us for it, though we don't ask for anything in return

" Maurice " I heard my sister call me, I look up at my door and see her walking in

" yes Sonia?" I asked as I tilted my head as i looked at her

" mother said its time for dinner " She smiled, I nodded and cleaned up my toys, and went to clean myself up

I opened my eyes to see complete darkness, I blinked a few times, how was it i was able to dream? My bedroom door opened and my brother walked in

but I felt weird somehow...but i pushed that aside as i looked at my brother and frowned

" it was gonna happen anyways..." was all my brother said, i nodded in response with a frown

" but-" i cut myself off as i felt pain in my chest

" you ok?" i heard Silver asked in a worried tone

"y-yeah, my chest just hurts.." i mumbled

" that isn't normal...." Silver frowned as he sat next to me, my head started to hurt, but all this felt horrifically familiar.....

the pain in my chest slowly left, but y headache stayed, but not as bad

" you ok now?" Silver asked

" yeah i am, probably because of what happened before or because i haven't had the fungus yet " I answered as i stood up

" yeah and your  stuck inside for a month remember?" Silver sighed, i just huffed

" I'm hungry..." I stated

" i hate how vampires have to feed constantly " Infinite said from the door way, making me jump, he and Silver rose a brow

" you sure your ok?" Silver gave me a look

" I'm fine..." i stated and walked downstairs, what is wrong with me?
