When we moved into Ashley Vista apartments, I already kinda knew everyone and it was convenient that we lived right across the street from my school. Miller Grove wasn't the best high school in dekalb but it worked for me. My best friends Makiya and Jalisa were always up to no good. Jalisa was on her last strike with the school or she would be expelled. "Aye Laya lookin good today" I turned to Brandon and looked in noticing that he was admiring my body. I was a nice quiet girl but i was so damn skinny, hella tattoos and i always wore weave because my real hair was too hard to maintain. I always dressed nice even though we didn't really have money. My mom always bought me outfits from the boosters and no one never knew but of course my bitches.
I walked down the hallway scrolling on Instagram until my shoulder was bumped. When i looked up i noticed a tall light skin boy with curly hair and light brown eyes.  "Umm excuse you nigga i know yo lamp pole lookin ass saw my bitch walkin" Makiya said before i could say anything to this fine ass boy. " My bad ma i aint see her luh short ass" he said chuckling before walkin away continuing on his phone.

I walked through the crowd attempting to make my way to class when Miracle pulled me to the side. "Lemme come over today" she said biting her lip, rubbing on my hand weird as fuck.  We stood there for a minute as two boys were about to fight but the security pulled them back.
