Part fifteen

Laya
"Jalaya Thomas" one of the nurses called in the doctors office. I adjusted my purse on my hip and pulled my pants up before walking back. Kamori looked at me with a nervous look on his face. "Baby I have something to tell you" he said. "Well can it wait because I'm already nervous. Walking out of this doctors office, our lives might be changed forever in a few minutes." I said, continuing to follow behind the nurse. "Baby the first time we had sex the condom broke. I didn't say anything because I really didn't know how to and to make matters worse, I started acting out towards you because I didn't know what to do. If you are pregnant that makes you about 4 months now" he said, dropping all the news I was in aware of. It was crazy that I didn't know what was going on in my own body, how could he not tell me this was all too much. "Well we don't even have to go back there because I already know now but why would you not tell me, that's selfish as fuck." I said in a louder tone. We walked into the room and I sat my bag on the chair that was meant for the father or spouse. The nurse began to ask questions about my sexual life to put on file before the doctor came in then asked me to pee in a cup. When I returned Kamori had his face in his hands. We sat in silence trying to grasp that we were about to become parents and how this could change our lives.
The nurse entered the room along with the doctor rolling a big cart with a computer screen attached to it. "Ms. Thomas you're 4 months pregnant. I don't understand how could you not notice the weight gain and missed menstrual cycles. Given that you are 17 we will need you parent or legal guardian's contact information-" I cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "No need because I don't even know where she is. She left me and my little sister a few months ago and I haven't seen or spoken to her since" I said. "The doctor documented that on her clipboard and began setting up the equipment. "Do you want to keep the baby or set it up for adoption because abortion is not a factor given that you are so far along." She said. I looked over at Kamori for a answer and he gave me a look already telling me that he wanted to keep our child. "We're going to keep the baby" I said to the nurse still looking at Kamori. "Okay we're going to check on the baby and make sure everything's okay with the little one. We should be able to tell the sex if the little one's cooperative" She said "mom i want you to lay back and remove the shirt and I'll be back with a gown in a few seconds." I sat on the bed as the doctor left closing the door behind her. Honestly if it was anyone else i was having this baby by it would be different but I'm actually happy that I'm pregnant by Kamori. "Baby how you feeling about this" Kamori asked.
"Im happy to be a mom i just don't know how to tell everyone" i said as the nurse came back with a gown.
I put the gown on and she rubbed the jelly like substance on my stomach. "Whew this is cold" i said, sharing a laugh amongst the people in the room.

Kamori
It was so heart warming hearing my seed's heartbeat for the first time. I loved the thought of having a child to motivate me to work hard and something to look forward to coming home to everyday. "Do you guys want to know the sex of the baby" the doctor asked keeping the tool in the same place. I looked at Laya shrugging my shoulders. "Yes" she said. My heart started beating faster than the moment she told us Laya was pregnant. "You're having two baby girls twins to be exact. See look" i looked turning my attention to the monitor. Laya started to cry and held her face in her hands. "Laya baby what's wrong" i asked her. "Nothing this is just the best day of my life. Im gonna have two princesses not one but two. Im beyond excited i can't wait to tell everyone" the doctor awe'd with her hand covering her heart and handed Laya a paper towel to get the jelly off of her stomach. When she was all done we got the ultrasounds and walked to the car. Her next appointment was in 3 weeks and she'll be 5 months. We walkes into the house grabbing everyone's attention. We felt everyone should know before she starts to show and so they could get gifts. "Everyone i have something to tell you" Laya said as everyone took a seat on the couches and recliner chairs. "Some of us actually have lives to live" Alyssa said laughing. "Whatever, i almost forgot somebody call my besties i can't leave them out" Laya said. Once everything was on the phone and in the room we both looked at eachother grabbing the envelope with the ultrasounds in it. "We've decided to do this a little different since we didnt know how to say it out of our mouths." I walked around handing everyone in the room envelopes, there was 3 extras one for Laya's mom and the others were for Makiya and Jalisa but we decided to tell them over the phone. Everyone opened the envelopes and their face expressions changed quickly. "Laya oh my god are you serious im gonna be a auntie. I cant wait to spoil the baby" Alyssa said. I looked at Laya because everyone was under the impression that it was only one baby. "We haven't even told you all the best part yet" i said. "It's twinnsssss" Laya and i said simultaneously. At that point Alyssa had last her marbles. She was jumping up and down, hugging Laya. I looked over seeing that my dads face expression hadn't changed one bit. "Dad can i talk to you in the kitchen" i asked him walking towards the kitchen. When we got into the kitchen my dad didn't beat around the bush. "Son you know that this is a big responsibility. You have to treat those girls better than you treat yourself. You're a father of two princesses now you have to do everything in your power to make sure those little girls are happy you understand me. Welcome to fatherhood im happy for you two" he said. I nodded and gave him a hug. My father and I haven't always been on the best terms but we're getting closer and closer by the day.

Now I'm thinking start doing my chapters/ parts by months 🤔what y'all think? I think that's what ima do up until she have the baby.
