escape from reality
a slit on her wrist
soon followed by two or three
all covering both her arms and legs
until only a group filled with lies remains after she left.

Walking home with his playlist playing at full volume in his ears, Kaminari slowly approaches his destination. In his mouth is stuck his favourite flavoured lolipop and his hands are buried deep in his pockets.
He walks up the front steps of the flat building and pushes the heavy front door open with a small huff. He goes towards the stair case and starts going up the stairs at his own slow pace. He eventually reaches the floor he lives at and with heavy feet he directs himself to the door only he owns the key of.
He stops in front of his final destination and fishes his keys out of his pocket. He inserts it in the matching hole, twists it and pushes the door open for him to walk in. He pushes the door closed and locks it as soon as he's inside. He kicks off his shoes and leaves them spread all over the door step with a careless huff.
He walks into the small living room and throws his bag on the floor. He throws himself into the couch cushioning his fall. He let out a low groan and allows his body to relax. He breathes in the aromaless couch and sighs in delight.
Ahh...
He stays motionless and soon, everything around him turns quiet.
That silence. It's soothing. He likes it. Kaminari may be one to like noisy places because they often are the most fun to hang out at, but there are times when he craves for naught but silence. Deep, utter and intense silence, to the point where even his breath becomes the loudest sound audible.
Living on his own has its perks for sure. As he likes to say, he's living under his own roof, so in this place, it's his rules people have to apply to. He puts on music whenever, smokes and drinks whenever, invites his friends whenever and can even watch porn without using his headphones.
Of course, tasks such as paying the bills and taking care of the place's hygiene are part of the cons, but he often doesn't mind much and can balance it out with sleep and school.
What he likes the most about it is the fact that he's alone. No parents around, just him and himself.
Truth be told, Kaminari never had a good relationship with his parents. Having them to agree to have him live on his own was a rough battle he had to go through, but he eventually got what he wanted, for his own good as well as his parents' by running away. If he and his parents never got along on anything and always fought about everything, why the hell would he still want to live under the same roof as them?
At first, Kaminari found it fun to stay the night at his friends' places, but he soon got tired of it. He wanted to have his own place, his own home. Sure, the place is small and he restrains himself from using as much houseware as possible, but it's still four walls and a ceiling he's got surrounding him and that's way better than living on the streets.
