STARLIGHT
"Starlight, star bright, first star that I see tonight ... ." Jonathan looked up to the sky and made a silent wish. He knew that if he spoke it out loud, if anyone heard, then his wish would not be granted
"It won't work," his mother said from behind him.
Jonathan looked at her, not believing what she had just said. "But I wished!"
His mother tapped on the window. "It doesn't work through glass."
Jonathan rushed barefoot out of the house, kicking up the snow as he went.
He stopped and looked up, just in time to see a shooting star.
