Every time January rolls around you see all the tweets about how you will improve yourself, diet, journal, take better care of yourself, etc. by January you over it and ready for 2020. That's because improving yourself takes awhile and the first step is goal setting

-Make sure they are reasonable. Your goal shouldn't be to become the president because that's not reasonable. Don't get me wrong you can achieve that down the road but right now it's not reasonable

-Give yourself a time frame. This helps you stay on top of your goal. Now if you say I want to become president in 10 years then that's better and you can start working towards that.

-Write down your goals and put them somewhere you can always see them. This will help you remind yourself of your goals. Also to add a little bit of motivation you can add some pictures to keep reminding yourself of these goals

-Don't stress if you don't achieve your goals in the time you wanted to. You can always tweak your goals and just because you don't do it the first time that doesn't mean you can't try again.

-Sometimes you will feel unmotivated and my way of becoming motivated again is the simple fact that I'm not where I don't want to be. Keeping it real I want to hit 10k by the end of the year on my Instagram and I'm only at 4.7k and I have been at this point for months. It's not because my content sucked but I wasn't motivated to constantly post and I would go three weeks without posting and then I would look at other pages and seeing them prosper so I just stopped and I'm not afraid to say that

-Just focus on your goals and your progress. This is something I am still working on and it's hard but I'm just trying to stop scrolling through Instagram and just focus on scrolling through my feed and posting
