"FARAH, PASS ME the pot me please?" Hanna asks while whisking away with a bowl in her hand.

I sighed pushing the pot in her direction before watching those around us who were fervently cooking meals to feed the large number of pack members.

Seeing so much food felt so surreal to me. Coming from a pack that could barely manage to feed half of its people, this food surplus was impressive.

"This is incredible, isn't it?" Hanna comments with a smile while putting something into the oven.

The extravagant kitchen was the size of about 4,400 square feet. Chefs and cooks were all around preparing plates for supper.

"We get to do what we love." Hanna adds before giving me a knowing look. "What?"

I give her a sheepish look before looking at the floor. "You get to do what you love..." I correct her.

She frowns at me.

"C'mon Hanna, you know I was never much of a kitchen person."

When our pack members were assigned jobs, we learned that they were six different job fields: The Seasoners, the Nurturers, the Crafters, the Agriculturalists, the Warriors, and last but certainly not least the Alumni.

The Seasoners were the cooks and the culinary artists, the nurturers were the doctors and pediatricians, the crafters were those that build and construct useful items for the pack, the agriculturalists were the gardeners, and the warriors were our protectors and prime source of defense.

The alumni were an exclusive group which consisted of highest title rankings of the pack such as Alpha, Luna, Beta, third command, Advisor, and the council sovereignty. Nobody in our pack was chosen to obtain the available roles.

One had to earn their spot there.

"You aren't supposed to be in here anyway. Weren't you assigned as an Agriculturalist?" Hanna asks me with an amused smile.

I scrunched my nose. "Ugh, please don't say it. It sounds worse coming from your mouth." I told her.

She eyes me curiously before grabbing some carrots and cutting them quickly. "Why are you here?"

"I don't like being out there..." I mutter.

"Why?"

"Because," I mumble. "The Agriculturalists' work sight is adjacent from the Warriors' outside training grounds."

Hanna stopped cutting before leveling her eyes with mine. "You're not serious..."

"Hanna, please..." I say. "You know how bad I want to train. And, you know I have the skill to do so. I refuse to sit there and indulge in planting fruits when I could be kicking ass."
