Part 9

_"mira! Honey can i come in? ".
I was waken up by amina's voice, i wasn't able to sleep until fajr and it must be late now
_" come in ".
She entered with an angelic smile on her face
We didn't have alot of time to get close since she was always in uni but her face reflected so much innocence and love
_" good morning queen " she said sitting on the bed
_" good morning princess " i said kissing her cheek
_" did you sleep well? ".
_" not really, it took me some time to fall asleep ".
_" you had a tough time, everything is alright now don't worry ".
She noticed the album on the table i forgot to take it back to its place yesterday
_" now i know why you couldn't sleep, you already miss him huh?".
I kept my silence and just gave her a smile, she wouldn't want to know about the problems between us
_" oh these are his old pictures, his teenage self now he doesn't have the time to play piano anymore he is so passionate about it, but since my dad got sick and he had to take care of the business at only 20 years he became more serious, most of the time he is at work it must be hard for him to handle it all by himself ".

_" he handle all the business? ".
_" yes, he was obligated to since he was the eldest my mother pushed him alot ".

I've always thought that he was a spoiled child and i didn't know that the whole work was his responsibility
She kept viewing the pictures until she fell on the one with amel and okba
She froze and looked at me instantly

_" are they in love? " i couldn't stop my curiosity
She hesitated a little before answering
_" not anymore , they had a relationship years ago but once okba got busy and with my father's sicknesse they met less and less and they ended up breaking up saying they that weren't suitable for each other....... Now he has you he won't look at another woman don't worry i know him ".

_" they seemed so close the other day "
_" so you met amel?.. They decided to stay friends don't let you thoughts go far " she winked
That didn't convince me, it must be the first reason why okba treated me the way he did before, i am clearly a barrier in their relationship

_" can you lend me some clothes?..... Beautiful ones ".
_" oh yes of course, why? Do u want to get pretty for him " she said happily

_" uh no.. But my current clothes are somehow old ".

_" in that case my queen we will have a shopping day "
_" how can i go shopping while okba is in the hospital your mother will hate me even more thinking that i am careless ".
_" no she has already gone to see him, she won't even notice ".

After taking care of ren we went shopping, i didn't have much money but amina insisted to pay and after many tries she succeeded to convince me
When we got home samia wasn't there yet so i suggested that we go check on okba
Ali accompanied us there, he waited with me on the hall while amina got in to see if her mother was there she pretended that she was visiting alone so she can make samia get some air while i see okba
Ali seemed somehow unusual, its true i didn't have so much time with him but there was something off

_" is there anything wrong? You seem sick ".
When he turned to face me his eyes were red and he seemed frustrated
It wasn't from crying but it seemed from something else
_" no, everything is alright i am just tired thats all " he lifted his hand to touch his hair
There were some cutting marks on his wrist it freaked me out so i grabbed his hand instantly
_" what is this? You are hurt ".
He pulled away in a hurry avoiding my eyes
_" n.... No nothing i just didn't sleep well and i fell yesterday that's it ". He tried to look natural but something was off
_" okay, but if you need anything tell me, i will be always here for help ".
He smiled but it was sad i could see it, the injury in his wrist worried me but i didn't want to push him

Amina got out with samia making sure to distract her while we hided she turned around and winked
Then we sneaked in the room
Okba was surprised to see us, ali mocked him for a while and then he left us alone it was awkward i didn't know what to say
I took out 2 books from my bag
_ "here, i don't know if you like reading but it must be boring to stay here all day doing nothing so you can use them to entertain yourself " i said quickly i don't know if he did catch all what  i've said
_" eckhart tolle? Interesting, are they yours? ".
_" yes, they are my favorite books of all time it teaches me to stay in the present moment ".
_"oh i see that's great i will check them out thanks ".
I hesitated for a moment before talking again
_" i made this soup for you, my mom used to make it for us when we get sick its delecious "

_" you didn't have to thank you "
Its like the frown he wore in the first day of our marriage was but a mask to hide this sweet side of him
The paleness made him seem weak but his smile added a charm to him his eyes were soft and warm

I heard samia's voice getting close so i jumped off the chair
If she sees me here it would be the end for me
_" oh god!, she will kill me " i was freaking out
_" she doesn't know you are here? ".
I ignored okba and runned to the door but it was too late if i get out at the moment she will see me
I hide behind wheel table that was in the middle of the room

_" mom come with me to get some coffee please " said amina trying to get her mom out
_" i am tired go by your self, why are you acting so weird ".
She came close to the table to get water thank go she was looking at okba's direction
_" what is this? ".
_" uh my friend came in you absence he got me some home made soup and few books ".
_" oh thats so nice of him who's he ".
_" just an old friend from college ".

I was moving in the door's direction using the table as a shield okba was giving me side glances and he was at the edge of laughing
_" why are you smiling like that " his mom questioned
Amina laughed out loud and okba followed the, situation was funny but i was too scared to think of laughing
_" you two are getting crazy. mmm this soup is so delecious ".

I quickly ran out and hide behind the wall breathing out

_" who moved the table there! Can this day get even weirder ".
Samia 's voice approached again and i ran to the exit

Amina followed minutes later we kept laughing at the situation until we got home

After dinner i went to check out on ren i missed the little puppy alot , it was late when i got back to the house
On the way to my room i saw that the lights from ali 's room are still on so i thought about checking on him
The boy didn't seem okay today i knocked on the door but no answer after minutes of waiting i decided to open it once inside my whole body froze

My instincts were right............................
