I'm sorry for not writing, it was as if I had a lack of motivation to continue for some reason which is the most ridiculous thing ever because there has been nothing but amazing comments from all of you, and I hope you know that I read every single one. Even the comments where you said nothing but one word, I read them and smiled along with you and cried with you and this story was an amazing adventure, I hope for all of us.

Below, I have compiled some ideas that have been drumming through my head about this story and KoA, including theories, short stories, and a random bunch of shorts that I have found and wanted or build off of (credit is given).

So sit back, and enjoy my last 'chapter' before enjoying Kingdom of Ash, and discovering Erilea's true paths. Please please please comment your ideas and let's finish the journey together!

Theory/Predictions

Elide is a Blueblood:
At this point, I think that one of the questions I really care about in KoA is how Elide's story will play out, both with Lorcan and Terrassen, but also her journey of self discovery. Even though SJM has stated through Manon that evil is made, not born, Elide is still a relatively peaceful individual (except when dealing with Lorcan) which leads me to believe that she is a Blueblood.
Elide is blessed by Annieth, goddess of knowledge, and Bluebloods are said to be seers and talk to the Three Headed Goddess. If Elide has one goddess of wisdom looking over her, couldn't it be possible for her knowledge to come from both?
Additionally, Elide would be an excellent person for allying the Bluebloods and Terrassen together, and though she is in no way an individual without purpose, allying the two would provide an interesting storyline.
For her, I don't think she will play the same part as I wrote into my story, but I am interested in how she will fit into the group searching for Aelin.

Dorian is going to die:

Before you start making me cry again, hear me out. Dorian, Chaol, and Aelin started the journey together, and have been central points in the story. Dorian has proved himself to be the selfless individual who has suffered through unspeakable darkness and survived, though forever changed. His connection with the darkness will let him understand the final asking price (Aelin's life) before the rest of the squad does. I think he will be able to revive Aelin by sacrificing his own life force through the use of his magic.
His power can be manipulated to be almost anything, and I really want SJM to expand on this, hopefully proving the extent of his power, maybe showing shapeshifting as a disguise (as Aelin?) or Fenrys' jumping power. I think Dorian has mainly used ice because that is what Rowan had taught him, but the new magic-wielders joining the game will be able to show him the true versatility of his magic.

The main characters will become the new "Gods."
So the gods in ToG are basically out of the picture except for Deanna taking over Aelin's body in Skull Bay and Mala mothering Elena, but most characters are said to be watched over by a deity, like Annieth for Elide, Hellas for Lorcan, and Temis for Lysandra.

I believe these characters will take up the mantels of the 12-13 gods, ruling Erilea after they leave with the Valg King(s) (more on this later). An argument can be made for each god on different characters to take up the mantel, but I believe the following list. If you don't, let me know why and we can debate a little while waiting for KoA.

I also believe that the gods knew that the final battle would play out like this and protected/chose their individual when they were born, protecting and guiding them to the right place to win the war. (Rolfe with map from Sea God, Annieth's whispering to Elide)

Annieth: Elide
Deanna: Nesryn
Hellas: Lorcan
Keva: Aedion/Gavriel (I think either is perfect)

Lani: Nehemia / Ansel (Goddess of Dreams, hard to place, still questioning but love Nehemia too much to leave her out)
Lumas: Dorian
Mala: Aelin
Sea God: Rolfe
Silba: Yrene
God of Truth: Chaol
Three Faced Goddess: Manon (Others with her maybe?)
