The colors around me are hard to miss, with neon and vibrant shades. However, there are greys and blacks and whites that seem to blend in, almost invisible, with the colors. But that's how it's supposed to be, right? With the brightest ones standing out, making shadows fall on others, until they are shadows. Black, white, and grey all over, blending in the background of millions and billions of shadows that, like them, never stood brightly enough to be noticed.

About halfway through this, I forgot what my initial mood was... 😅 Anyway, In Mortality really inspired a younger version of me, and this was my response to it a little over a year ago, when i first read it.
