yoongi literally sprinted out of school the second the bell rang that day, immediately heading towards the park that was just across the street from his school.

he couldn't contain himself, usually he'd never even think about running, but today was different.

the boy he had been so curious about had finally arrived here.

he was nearly breathless by the time he had gotten to park, upset to see that jungkook was not at the park yet.

at this moment, he was only able to think one thought,

what if he lied to me?

still, he didn't lose hope as he sat on the park bench all alone, the sky becoming darker with each passing hour.

he was nearly asleep when he heard rustling from beside him,

"hyungie?"

his eyes shot open so fast, surprised to have finally been able to meet the adorable boy.

jungkook stood in front of him, clad in a nearly all black outfit and a backpack, completely different from what yoongi had been thinking the whole time.

judging by the picture he was sent, he would have imagined something brighter, but he was not disappointed, he wore nearly the same thing as him.

he liked it.

"oh boy! yoongi hyung! it is you!" jungkook chitters as he quickly takes a seat next to yoongi on the bench.

before jungkook does anything, he hugs yoongi tightly, "sorry i was late hyungie, my train was delayed by a few hours," yoongi hugs him back, "don't worry though! i bought fresh busan lamb skewers!"

"you're exactly how i imagined you to be," yoongi smiles breaks into a grin, "except i didn't imagine you to look like this."

jungkook pulls away first, curious to ask about what yoongi meant by that, but pulls out a bag of the fresh lamb skewers from his backpack first, he hands one to yoongi who takes his happily.

"is that a good or bad thing, hyungie?" he asks.

yoongi takes a bite out of the lamb skewer, trying not to show any emotion when in reality, it was one of the best ones he had ever eaten.

"it's a good thing, jungkookie." yoongi says, "i never would've thought of you as an all black person, but it really suits you." he mumbled before shoving the lamb skewer in his mouth for another bite.

jungkook fights back the biggest bunny-like grin that was starting to show up on his face. to suppress it further, he took a bite of his own lamb skewer, a tiny moan escaped his mouth,

"god these lamb skewers are so good, don't you agree, yoongi hyung?"

he didn't want to admit it just yet, "lets go eat some daegu lamb skewers. then i'll answer you." jungkook pouts cutely, his mouth full of his favorite food.

yoongi's heart melted at the sight of jungkook's extremely cute puffed out cheeks, he looked at them and wondered how they were so perfect.

he pressed a chaste kiss on jungkook's cheek and stood right up, extending a hand for jungkook to take, "come on, i'll show you the best place."

jungkook had started blushing, quickly swallowing the food he had in his mouth, and stayed frozen.

on the other hand, yoongi had been quite confident up until jungkook decided he'd just stare at yoongi's hand instead of grabbing it.

he blushed too.

"okay, hyungie. let's go."
