PROLOGUE

author's note: hello! i published this novel years ago, like when i was a fetus or something. i can't say i'm satisfied with it and all, so i thought, since i already lost interest in this novel, maybe i should just drop it. it will be hard to revise because i will have to change the characterizations to my preference and change my way of writing here. since i have already published a few chapters... no actually, my cover is freaking good right now so maybe i'll revise it? ofc, it crossed my mind. anw, i'll let you guys know whether i decide on continuing this or not. thank you for 1k reads!

Oh diba! It looks good on you!" puri saakin ni Dheanne, my stylist, pagkatapos niyang ilagay sa bun ko 'yung flower crown pin.

I have no idea where this will lead to. They didn't even make me choose! Sila na mismo pumili para sa 'kin kaya 'di ko alam kung ano kalalabasan nito.

"Nice, ganda!" dagdag niya pa. Napakamot ako sa ulo ko.

"Try to wear these earrings! I think it'll suit the style," Shaina suggested. Kinunutan ko naman siya ng noo.

"You know I'm not comfortable with those," ah! Paano ba 'ko napunta dito?! Last thing I knew I was just chilling in Germany and now I woke up dealing with a huge headache dito sa Pinas! They're doing my debut grand kahit na ayoko. Supposed to be kami lang ng friends ko. Jea and the girls. I suggested na mag bar hopping nalang kami or club para mas dama ko na legal na 'ko. Gusto nila ipakulong pa nila 'ko para feel na feel, e.

Napabuntong-hininga ako sa init ng suot ko ngayon. Ever since I moved to another country, I became more.. empty. Though, I really did enjoy it, it's just that.. everything's new. New environment, new people, new places. Siguro I wouldn't want to leave the place if only I strolled outside more often. Kung wala ko sa bahay, nasa school ako.

Dumating kami sa venue 20 minutes before my debut. The event ground was big enough to cater 100 people and up. Pucha, ano ba 'to children's party?!

Sumalampak agad ako sa upuan 'pagkadating naming sa dressing room. I am sooo tired! Nag land lang kami nung isang araw. Jetlag ako kahapon kaya buong araw ako natulog pero feeling ko 'di pa rin sapat 'yung pinahinga ko.

"Hoy birthday girl, pa-makeup." tumabi si Jea sa 'kin at kinuha ang makeup palette niya. I opened the lights of the vanity mirror for her. Lumipat naman ang tingin niya sa 'kin at kinunutan ako ng noo. "Ngiti, Zedien. Ngiti! Parang others 'yang muka mo, first time mo sasabak sa puberty, sis?"

"Gusto mo sa 'yo ko ibuntong puberty ko?"

"Ulol, 'wag ka nga! Mamaya, may inuman naman mamayang gabi kela Margaux 'di ba," she stated. Napabuntong-hininga naman ako.

I rolled my eyes and picked up the lists of guests that she put in front of me to see. 'Yung mga unang nakalagay hindi ko kakilala. Malamang mga katrabaho 'yon ni papa. Ano ba 'yan, 'di naman siya may birthday!

"Gaga ka, ba't may macho dancer dito?!" kumunot ang noo ko.

Natawa naman siya. "Tanong mo diyan kay Isaac! Gagi, siya nag presenta niyan, kadiri nga amputa," she made a disgusted face. Napailing nalang ako and returned my attention to my phone.

After several minutes, we heard a knock. Sumilip si Dheanne sa peephole at bumungad sa kanya ang malaking ngiti.

"Gown's here!" nagtulong-tulong pa silang ipasok 'yon kase ang detailed at medyo mahaba. It looks like it weighs more than 5 pounds sa sobrang laki.

The guys mouthed, 'sorry late' before excusing himself. Yeah, ang alam ko 'yung gown dapat nauna na sa 'kin pero nagkaro'n daw ng kaunting conflict kaya medyo na late.
