It was now December 1st, and usually we would all be talking about Christmas coming up. But we're not this year. Because of what happened to Cheryl, we are holding Homecoming much later.
Veronica and I went dress shopping and we searched for about an hour. It was formal and the dance went all the way to 10PM. We finally found dresses.

Then Veronica and I went out to lunch. We began to talk and I told her about Jughead and I's date.
"Omg B! That's amazing! You're honestly so lucky! How are you going to homecoming though?" She asked. That's the moment I felt stupid. Juggie and I didn't figure out a plan. When I got home I saw Chic getting ready for tonight.
"Um...hi. Chic I need to use the bathroom."
"You can wait, I'm gelling my hair. I'm trying to look good for the ladies!" He said in a smug voice. I groaned and went to my room. I sat on my bed and called Jughead.
"Hey Betts. Are you-"
"How are we going to work this out?"
"Woah Betts. Do we need to talk about our relationship?"
"No! I mean how are we gonna work out homecoming?"
"Oh...I don't know."
"Jug, do know anything?" I asked frustrated.
"I know I love you!"
"Cute. But that doesn't solve our problem."
"Well, Chic got us dates..." He said quietly.
"With who?!"
"Him with Evelyn Evernever and me with Ethel Muggs."
"What the heck?! You can do so much better!"
"Really Betts? You know I don't like her. You need to just let it go."
"I'll just go with Veronica. Have tonight Babe." I said quickly and hung up. I'm mad he had didn't tell me sooner! Now I have to see if Veronica will let me go with her and Fangs. I texted her and she said yes(thank goodness). I got ready for the dance.

I went downstairs to wait for Veronica and Fangs. I saw Chic, Evelyn, Jughead, and Ethel taking homecoming photos. I tried to sneak past, and I thought I was safe. Until my mom called my name.
"Elizabeth, where's your date?" She asked.
"I'm going with Veronica and Fangs. Bye now."
"Wait Elizabeth! Let's get photos of you. Go stand by Jughead. Also boys, put your hands around the girls. Jughead exactly did that with Ethel. I felt the heat go to my face. When I heard horn honk outside, I walked quickly. I saw the limo and they continued honking. When I got to the door of the limo, Jughead stopped me.
"Betts!"
"Yeah?"
"Come on Betts, you know I don't want to go with her. I want to go with you, but I can't. Please don't stay mad."
"I'm not mad...I'm sorry...I overreacted." I sighed. She gave a small hug and the car honked again. Fangs rolled down the window and stared making fun of us. As we were getting ready to leave, Jughead knocked on the window and the car stopped. I rolled down the window and he handed me stuff.
"Food is going to be money, so here is $45, princess." He smiled. He kissed me goodbye and now Veronica and Fangs started making fun of us. Jug rolled his eyes and told me goodbye. I know what you're thinking, this night ends in happiness. But you should know...the one time everyone is smiling...you know something bad is going to happen...
